Don't think I'll get back to this one so fast. I still have quite a long back log to clear...and a lot of them are Macross kits.

And my Ace Combat stuff on my to do list is also quite long and old.

Let's see I have an 1/144 8492nd F-15S+ still lying around.

1/72 X-02A Wyvern

Kei Nagase's F-14A in 144 scale

1/144 R-103 Delphinus 3

And a pre build 1/144 Amami Haruka Raptor which will probably be replaced by the 1/72 Revell kit.

Most of these pictures are old. The F-15 is fully scribbled and primered. F-14 and R-103 both have their base coat. And the X-02 has a pair of air intakes now.

@Maiden Japan. Your Optimus Prime is amazing. Those pictures leaves me speechless.

@ Admin/Mod: Is there a new upload file size restriction or max. picture resolution? I tried to upload single pictures(900kb) and also as compressed zip file (8mb). Every time the upload finishes there's a message saying "File not found"

Looks great. I like it very much. It also reminds me of my unfinished Super Flanker or any other unfinished Ace Combat model kit. Guess what, I used a Zhengdefu/KiTech kit as well.

Thanks! Yes the ISD is the AMT/Ertl reissued MPC kit. The parts ejected from those old molds were quite poor so I decided to add some new elements and details to it. I somehow ended up with something different from what I had in mind. Should have painted some flames or tribal pattern on it. Sorry about the bad picture quality but I don't have the opportunity to take new ones. Both models are already in their new homes.

I always thought the "What's o your workbench "-thread was the ideal playground for miscellaneous model kits incl. Star Wars.

The 1/144 Yellow Submarine garage kits all came with small pilot figures. But I think the Wave 1/144 mobile staff figures Vifam7 recommended are good too. The seated pilot figure might require some remodeling but in 1/144 scale nobody will recognize the difference between a Normal suit or Macross flight suit.

Okay! I'm sold. I'll watch it.

At the moment I'm building Ryuji's Minmay Guard figure kit. As you can see this one will be holding the Moon, more bosom and a slightly changed pose.

It looks very good... oh Mr. pilot is missing.

Detailing and changing the fuselage of my hover tank at the moment for a more comic book like look.

Japanese Blu-Ray and DVD release is set for the 25th of Febuary 2009. The price for the limited edition box set is kind of nerd appropriate. Only 41000 Yen (43050Yen incl. Tax) !!! Not bad for a Blu-Ray box set with only 1 feature presentation and the Kotobukiya pre-painted display model (4800Yen) in 1/72 scale.

I just toke another look at the pictures from 2nd Nov. Maybe the humidity comes from the talcum or baby powder.

Would say it's time to try something else.

Remember cooking and baking spray? You won't believe it but some people use these as mold release spray. I don't know which brands are usable but a fat free non-organic spray should be used. Spray a thin coat on your mold let it dry for a few minutes. Check again with a hair dryer on the lowest level of heat. Just make sure not to heat up the mold too much since this could cause immediate reaction/hardening while pouring resin into your molds.

Silicon spray would also do the job but these are quite greasy and require polishing just like mold release wax and industrial mold release sprays.

The other bubbles in the parts come from missing deaeration. Cutting some fine trenches into the molds should allow air trapped inside the mold to exhaust. If you can take some pictures of your mold then we'll be able to mark the trenches.

BTW what kind of Polyurethane are you using?

I would also say water or H2O. If the resin was cooking like boiled water while curing then it was water and or humid climate. But if the bubbles are greasy/oily then it could also be that the hardener is expired. This would also mean that the resin was raising like yeast dough during the chemical reaction.
