These threads are still going?

Been a long time since I've been able to visit MW for any length of time. . . too long!

Stone White. Had to get white because, well, all my cars are white (so easy to take care of) and because of the car in Vanishing Point
Vostok 7
I saw a white R/T on the road the other day -- really sweet!

Time for some Roy Battroid!
The VF-0 is so nice.
-
That just lying, Pete-- You know you'll end up getting multiple copies of both
Wicked Ace: Does everything on the DX model fit back perfectly when transforming from Battroid back to fighter? The 1/72 is pretty fiddly to get everything back in place, an unfortunate side effect of the tight joints--and the intake/hip guns just never fit properly for the VF-25F 1/72. Does the DX have the same problem or does everything snap into place?
Yes. The DX is a solid toy, or I would have posted breakage pics by now.

I'll probably never transform it.
I urge you not be afraid to transform the DX. Transformation is quick, intuitive, and fun.

I lost my password to my photobucket. Is there another image hosting site I can use?

Enough. lol I had "FUN!" Go the Mighty Roy reverse backflip.
Nice one!

Yeah the Fokker's dead Legs are gone. But I kept the arms. I had to cut right under the armpits to make him fit in there.
Pictures?

Wicked Ace, have you been obsessively rubbing your VF-25F or something to get the paint to come of that quickly?
Enquiring minds want to know?
Graham
No obsessive rubbing going on.

I really need a proper stand for this thing.

Well, what about the grown Asian men who play with transformable robot toys? At least you're not that.
Ummm. . .
-
Too BIG or too small? ... sorry, couldn't resist asking...
I am a grown man who plays with transformable robot toys. What do you think?
-
"Once you get a taste then the size wont bother you!"
I remember saying this to a girl on Friday night.
-
Woah thats really fast paint wear. How many times have you transformed the toy? Looks like the toy itself may be durable but the paint application may be cheap.
I would not call the paint application "cheap." I am a lot less careful with play toys than most collectors. I hesitate to mention Yamato in this thread; however, the plastic used on Yamato's toys is not glossy and has a texture to it -- the paint sticks well and even presents problems for those, like me, who want to remove the paint on occasion.
Again, I bring up the paint for those who are considering purchasing these and being as rough as I am with it.

Pics regarding my above post:
No doubt the paint has a difficult time biting the glossy surface. For those who care about having a pristine condition toy, I thought this worth mentioning. I am not one who cares, as I treat this DX toy like a rag doll -- its going to get a good deal more "realism" with me fiddling with it.
-
I am not sure if anyone has commented on this, but as solid as this toy is, its "paint" requires a little careful handling.

This is one of those I-sure-hope-this-doesn't-turn-into-a-gun-fight moments:

Yeah I know about that one, but can it attach underneath in Gerwalk too like in the show?
-
I also broke down the parts that needed filling to get rid of the seam, I used Tamiya putty for the bigger stuff and Mr. Surfacer 500 for the smaller stuff. There's a shot after the sanding too.
Aren't the forearm seams supposed to be there (for removal to expose endoskeleton frame)?

What gundam are those sabers off?
They're from 1/100 scale Strike Freedom or one of the first season 00 Gundams on my table, which have been put on hold for other things.
-
This just seems wrong.
-
Is it easy to detach those pieces?
Yes. The pieces are a simple ball-and-socket.
-
Let's see how fast I can wear out the joints on this thing.

Good to be back and still see familiar screen names. I'll share this pic (again?) as a reminder to myself that I still have Macross projects to tend to.
