  1. On mine you can just pull the landing gear out of grey cylinder, it may have been put in backwards, as after i popped mine out I noticed you can put it in wrong and the landing gear will look like yours does.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't want to take this thing apart right away.

  2. hmm.. haven't had any problems with my sets.. but damn that is kind of abnormal..you can't turn it at all to the other way.. sometimes it just needs a little force, but not too much.. I know mine was stiff as heck..

I used a considerable amount of force to try to turn it the correct direction.

  3. Dude YOu dont know how true that statement is. I have been dreaming of a US take over for a long time. One day I have my american flag ready!!

I was actually just laughing at the statement; I have nothing against Canada since Canada has apologized numerous times for Bryan Adams. Maybe Canada should invade -- start with the Baldwin's house! :D

  4. I was looking over a 1980s 1/100 Takatoku variable Valk in my collection the other day, and was struck by how similar the Variable Revoltech's fighter mode is to the old Takatoku

This is this thing's charm, to me. ^_^ However, I would not want this if it was a larger, more expensive product.

  5. Pikashoo is awesome! Just got my package from him. Great communication and awesome shipping times. All was packaged well and in great condition. AAA+++ Seller, Would definitely do business with him again!

I had the same great experience and definitely would do business with this member again.

  6. Thanks,

I have never really gotten to use Tamiya much. I think mainly due to most of my early modeling being historical aircraft and local availability.

One of these days I may give it a go though. I have a 1/72 VE-1 that I still need to get started on, maybe I will have to pick up some Tamiyas.

My biggest gripe is that I've had lousy luck with Testor's brand Model Master sprays clogging up and/or having tooth problems resulting in uneven spray.

I have never had an issue with Tamiya spray paints, and the tooth seems to provide a finer spray than the Testor's stuff. There are other brands other members may like better than Tamiya; I started using it due to local availability.

BTW, please post pics of what you are working on.

  7. I believe brushing or spraying on some Future will hide the tape marks. Make sure to apply a flat clear to take away the gloss. Next time, I suggest painting all the details before applying the decals and clear coat. Your pictures with the masking tape and decals applied made me nervous!
