I think shapeways has shipping deals every once in a while if you don't need the parts immediately.

Would it be too much to ask mr k. to put a color scale in every image?
(I kid, I kid)

Changing my vote slightly, Sonic Birds and Black Aces for sure!
and
I'm actually curious how feasible another hasegawa team up would be. I wonder what Mr. K says?

1) Black Aces!
2) Blue Roses
3) Low Viz Grey
4) Woodland
5) 5 Grand Anniversary

I saw that actually, the group buy was for the mighty block 2 stand. I was looking for the mighty block 1. Thanks though.

I have to say, I do find the "freak-out" to "I love it" prototype to purchase cycle highly amusing
Also, I'm very much looking forward to this valk arriving on my doorstep.

I really, really like this set up! Back in the day we used to joke that the orange paint on training aircraft used to mean "student pilot, KEEP YOUR DISTANCE! "

All hatred of Robotech aside, what the heck is up with that artwork? There's some serious Rob Liefeld-style perspective butchering going on.
And just to keep it marginally related...

Rad, I'll just order from NY then. The price is pretty-alright. Thanks for the heads up.

Hey, quick question:
I don't usually collect Frontier stuff, so I'm not so knowledgeable about the renewals. I recently picked up the VF-25A Cannon Fodder and was looking to throw some super parts on it just for fun. I saw some cheap, used, super parts at the store.
Did Bandai make different super parts for both the original VF-25s and the renewals, or are the super parts the same/fit compatible for both? I'm betting these are the original super parts based on the copyright date (2007), so I wanted to double check.

We'll be guessing forever until the reveal, but VA-3?
-
I would say that's too much, personally.
-
Depends what it is, but I'd say start at around 50% less than you'd ask with complete packaging.

I keep waffling over buying this, glueing it in fighter mode, and painting it up as a low viz VF1.

Swivel, like slant right and left? Or rotate like a two barreled auto canon?

Anyone have a clear Yamato Mighty Block Stand for sale?
I have a Hikaru fan racer that wants to fly, so let me know if you have an extra one.
Thanks!

No, because the "grabbers" are too far to the front (as is the actual attachment point), and they have no grip anyway. The problem is that the die-cast content is all concentrated towards the rear of the plane -- legs, knee-joints, shoulder-joints, back-thruster... it makes everything in that area heavy and so the center of gravity is probably between the knees or somewhere thereabouts. Placing the stand attachment near the neck of the plane makes no sense at all...
I've used the "grabbers" on the yamato launch arm stand to prop up my YF-19 in fighter mode. Basically, you have to tuck the "grabbers" underneath the rear end of the aircraft, so they're actually supporting the aft part of the fuselage. It looks...not great...but it's worked on my YF-19 with fast packs and fold booster mounted.

Forget bundles, how about they start selling those stands!

Awweeesommmmeeeee!!!!

If I remember correctly, those are gun turrets.

Mostly I'm asking because some people are talking like these toys are faulty and will immediately turn yellow within a year when I've had many all white toys (not just Valks) that have been going strong for ten years now. I suppose the Valks proper have been on for about four and show no signs of changing color. I mean, it took fifteen years but my SNES isn't the original color it used to be anymore so it's not like much darker plastics can't go bad either.
This.

I just checked mine and the DYRL CF does not have the extra tampo on the vert stabs.
-
I agree. I always liked the Bandai Origin of Valkyrie VF-1S Focker gray/black/yellow color combination.

I seem to remember using paypal before 2003.

Well, it would be very cool if it was tooled to fit the old fold booster. I still have mine, so I suppose we'll all find out in a few months.
