  1. Quick question, i recently ordered my replacement from shapeways but the website did not give me the option of sizes. Are members talking about the size of the pin? 5mm-4mm... Confused......
  2. Dig the color scheme on that vf-11! Very clean..... Just curious.... Is that stand fabricated? I like the simplicity/modern look to it, and it doesn't take away attention from the model itself.... Might I ask, where did you get it electric indigo? Is it made out of metal/steel?
  3. Thanks Jardann, I guess I didn't use the gloss coat. lol. Before I did some post shading on the packs, i didn't notice any "silvering". I wanted the Skull decals to blend in a bit more with the packs that i gave them a couple of passes with my airbrush. I have some extra decals in my desk i think later on i will replace the most noticeable ones. Ive learned lots with this 1st Hasegawa kit and ive already started on my first "bashed kit". but before that i will make sure i finish up this kit with a pilot and the weapons set. I'll post pics of the finished kit as soon as i can get to our new apartment..... moving sucks!!! but looking forward to having a second bedroom that i can convert into my own office/workstation/mancave/model shop!!
  4. Thanks Jefuemon, I didn't think they would be that noticeable after some post/shading and some flat clear that I airbrushed after I put on the decals... I used Micro-sol/set to apply all the decals, and I didn't cut the decals as much as i should've .The micro stuff worked like a charm on the Valkyrie. I did see a bottle of setter at my local hobby-store, I'll make sure i give it a try for my next Valkyrie and I for sure cut the decal as much as I can..
  5. So i figured i would post some detailed pictures of what i think is a finished result!! lol after over 6 months of messing with this 1st ever kit, I can honestly say I am pretty happy with my first build results! Jumped thru lots of hoops and hurdles to get to this result and i cant wait to start another kit out of a little collection I acquired over the months. This is my first post on"Model Kit" and I am open to any kind of criticism and/or advice! So here ya go! Enjoy.
  6. Finally I get to Post a Finished VF-1S!!! I have been working on my 1st kit for over 6 months,....and now I can show some results! Hope you guys enjoy this as much as i did, Comments and critics welcomed!!
  7. I really appreciate your true honesty PetarB, I have been working on this model for 6 months now ever since i went thru ACL reconstruction on my right knee back in May, and spent most of my time sitting in front of my desk with my leg up, woodshedding and learning how hasegawa Valkyries are built. lol, I guess i had to post my progress sooner or later...,
  8. looking forward to see them started, and i really dig the Milia vf-4 racer! is that the resin model kit that Valk009 is selling? I have been looking at maybe getting a kit to put at the end of my list so by the time i get to it, i'll have my best skills!. Im thinking about doing a scheme of Max, similar to yours! very nice, nice clean work!
  9. Thanks Jefuemon, This kit has been done, glued, painted and stripped multiple times. Just not happy with the result...until now. And yeah, about the weathering, I decided to go for the "over the top weathering" to catch the "wear and tear" of Roy's Valkyrie near the end of this journey. And for me, I always have visioned that every Valkyrie after every single battle would have been completely covered with gunk, grease, space dirt, smoke and what not. The way i see it is , "there is never enough weathering" lol I appreciate it! and keep them coming!
  10. Here is my small collection i've put together over the past 10 months or so. I got myself another VF-1S Strike valkyrie since the one above this post has been a teaching experience and kind of my test/guinei pig. Im really looking forward to the Elintseeker! I've got to say that before this 1st VF-1s i knew nothing about modeling and most if not all that ive applied to my model have come from MW Cheng's file's and some fans work on this forum. Just a shout out since I've been shy about posting.
  11. So after figuring out how to attach images, I could not decide which pictures to upload, so I uploaded the ones that I thought you could see the most detailed work. The Photoetched parts didnt come it so i made my own out of Styrene. It's my first kit ever and i know there are plenty of things I royally skrewed up but Im up for any kind of criticism! I should be done with most of the Decals but some of the black decals on the folded tail fins need to be painted on.
  12. Hi all, I have been new for a long long time and I always end up going to the Vault to look at Master Cheng's famous Elint and VF-1A builds because i have been working on my first Hasegawa VF-1S for months now. I will post pictures soon and was just wondering if these kits are a norm of the past or if there are fans out there still building them and if you are, then it would be cool to see them along as i start to share mine.. thanks and hope to see some soon!
