Yamato released them for $500... plus the angles of those helmets especially the visor doesn't match the DYRL ones. You're nuts!!!! -
I'll probably come back later to this project later on because I want the ground crew set myself... I'm going thru miniature sculpting burnout... These movie version pilots are a killer too! So much detail! lol and I want to do other things for a while after i finish this set. Also I'm looking into adding ground crew vehicles with those guys... need to figure it out first. Pilot figs are still coming up though pretty soon!

Yes... Aliens for me too! It just contains everything all the cool things that I ever wanted to see in a movie. Plus I think I was at the exact right age when I saw it. I saw it on a double bill with The Fly and I stayed to watch it again. The powerloader at the end just blew the final piece of my mind that the other previous parts hadn't already...

I would count the VF-0 and VF-1 as seperate. Even though theyre similar in transformation, theyre 2 totally different mold and there's enough differences there to seperate them. Like the hands don't go in the arms and just get covered up by the backpack/thrusters. Buy it!!!

last set will be the 3 TV pilots and 4 movie pilots... then I'm gonna put away the micro sculpting tools... then I'm going to McDonalds because my hands are too tiny for those giant Carl's Jr. burgers...
