Hey GU... if you're going to post non macross stuff, attach it to a thread that's already started or it'll get moved or locked. Either the workbench thread or one of the tips thread.
As for the toy, you'll have to test a small section before covering the whole thing. I suggest testing Duplicolor's Acrylic enamel clear coat. They have matte and gloss and they are sold in most auto parts store.

His remake of Hara-Kiri was unusually subdued, I think it's his best movie. But I think with the fantastical nature of BotI, he'll go towards the schlock approach. Hopefully not.

Woah, woah, what's with the Part II hate? I mean yeah, it doesn't stack up to Part I, but Back to the Future was an Oscar-winner. I mean, a really good movie. It's hard to compare. Part II and Part III were also good, if not quite so much as Part I, but I think they're all three a great trilogy. I'm probably gonna get the 30th anniversary set.
I went to high school with this one girl, Jennifer, who could recite BTTF, line for line, in time. Why I never asked her out is beyond me.
You need a time machine to go back in time to convince your high school self to ask her out.

Wow spanner thats a very nice close-up and angled shot you made....fits the 171 valk triangle shape nicely!
Man... all that tampo does make the valk. Looking at valkyries without the markings is like watching movies without music. Great pic!

Just saw that the perks are up for the different levels. Any chance a picture of the t-shirt that's included with the skull squadron level getting posted?

Japanese director Takashi Miike, known for such films as “Audition” and “Ichi the Killer,” is set to adapt Hiroaki Samura’s long-running manga “Blade of the Immortal.”
Published from 1993 to 2012, the supernatural manga follows the cursed samurai Manji, who must kill 1,000 evil men in order to regain his mortality. The story was adapted in 2008 as television anime series.
Popular Japanese singer and actor Takuya Kimura, nicknamed Kimutaku, will star as Manji in the live-action film, set for release in 2017. A member of the Japanese idol group SMAP, the 42-year-old Kimura appeared in 2010’s “Space Battleship Yamato,” and voiced Howl in “Howl’s Moving Castle.”

When they build this "Monster" in 1/60, Bandai or Arcadia can get my money!
01/09/2003All of a sudden the price originally planned back then wasn't that bad...

Although I have been putting out hints for a long time now, I can finally officially reveal that Yamato will be releasing a Destroid Monster toy. The toy will be a whopping 1/60 scale and will be constructed mostly of ABS plastic to keep costs down. Even so, this will not be a cheap toy and price estimates are in the ¥30,000 to ¥40,000 range…did I mention this toy is huge!? The Destroid features excellent articulation, especially of the legs and feet and has some cool features never seen before on a Destroid monster toy, such as an opening cockpit hatch and extendible boarding ladder. I've seen and handled an early sculpt of this toy and even have some photos of it standing next to a 1/60 VF-1 and it is absolutely gigantic! Unfortunetely, I'm not allowed to publish the pics. Anyway, the sculpt is just undergoing final modifications and tooling will start soon. Expect to see this bad boy around the middle of 2003.
That's a mean and lean looking battroid, EXO, also thanks for the history bit.
My Bandai will soon sit on a shelf in gerwalk mode surrounded by the damashiis
I'll do the same with mine.

How would people know if they didn't even buy it. Don't cry for it and then don't support it.

Hey there animelinku! You can email them at macrossworldconvention at gmail dot com. I'll also alert them of your post.

You just need to post 5 times in the regular forums before you get to post in the buy and sell section... spambot guards.

Isn't her origin the same as Daredevil? A truck carrying radio active chemicals? Would be funny if it was the same company.

It's a sign. I think Bandai is going to milk the Regult mold.
They better! But the Glaug is next!
I do think that we should start a new thread for every new toy/mold but I feel like this thread is way behind on the discussion... start one for the Glaug!
Let me just paste this here to help search functions...

I'm thinking everything in that initial diorama pic is going to be a general release....anything else may end up as web exclusives...
So maybe web exclusives will be:
Reguld missile pack add-ons
Reguld Scout
Tomahawk
Defender
Phalanx
Quedluun-Rau
Nousjadeul-Ger
Other VF-1 variants....like TV Max and Kakizaki
This Hi-Metal R line has the potential to become really prolific and complete.....
With the VE-1 and VT-1....the only DYRL VF-1 variant missing (between the HM and HMR lines) will be the VF-1S Max....that's amazing!
And how difficult would it be for Bandai to make a DYRL version of the Reguld? Another Web exclusive?
Better yet....with their sudden show of affection for all things Macross...one can imagine even DYRL versions of the Quedluun-Rau and Nousjadeul-Ger....a fool's hope, but a hope nonetheless!
I gess I'll never catch up to my 1/60 collection... loving this new line though... All the different mechs!

There's actually 2 sides to the argument. People that want three got three because these are regults and there was not really a lot of time where you saw just one. Plus buying as many as you want actually helps to let the toy companies know that people DO want these types of toys. The other side of the argument is that people buy multiples to sell later... which I'm sure is true but you can't really call out people and tell them not to buy just to save pieces for other members. There's no information anywhere that says other members are there to buy these "extra" items. Also consider that the 3 minimum cap is there to cap the number scalpers can buy. Who's to say that they should stop at 1 or 2 when they decide that 3 is the number that keeps the scalpers at a minimum?

If you can find the Macross This Is Animation Illustration Poster Book, the mecha version, that's one of the posters inside. No logos and on good card stock.
