Same here. I thought the preorder was for an August release and not July. Must have been a typo on their website. Went ahead and paid but my wallet just slapped me upside my head since I just spent a ton at SDCC.

Pass for me. Already have the 25th anniversary DYRL Super Strike with flashlight plus a 30th anniversary TV version with option parts.

I'm not sure if you you can bypass customs. I've had EMS shipments get stuck for 14 days in customs. FedEx and UPS have their own customs as well but get the job done A LOT faster. OT: Went to SDCC and got to meet Scott Hards of HLJ. Nice guy.

Yup. Got lost in San Francisco customs for more than a month apparently. The seller had to have it traced before I finally got it.

Finally received my second TV Max. Thing got lost in the mail for two frickin months.

Just get a VF-1S Roy Focker scheme 1/60 version 2 by Yamato if you can only get one. That's how I started. Unfortunately this hobby is an expensive one and most of the members here have jobs being in our 30's and 40's. Hope this doesn't discourage you though as we were all newbies in the beginning.

I think it's hit or miss with these guys. Another member received his fine from nin nin IIRC. Even NY can be stingy on the packaging materials sometimes. I received my VF-4G with nothing inside the box except for the product itself and the outer shipping one came crushed on one side. The toy box itself was fine though when I opened it.

OT: I noticed your flight pose stands on the top shelf. Have you had any issues with the tips causing problems on the paint of your Valks? I have the v2 ones but only use them for taking pics and haven't used them long term.

I figured so but just double checking. =) I cancelled my Otacute and Hobbyfan preorders and felt kind bummed about losing out on the low prices but if they are not going to be able to deliver then it makes my keeping the NY one justifiable.

IIRC, the shipping options were for the USPS (Priority Mail, parcel post etc)
