  1. I seriously doubt it, anything that dodge makes these days HAS to have the F-ing crosshairs on it...."brand Identity" they call it.......they start looking like trucks in the front after a while, just look at the new Charger...

Yeah, why do car manufacturers insist on doing that sort of thing? I mean, the manufacturer is spelled out all over the car.

  2. I thought any future Camaro was doomed when GM suspended the zeta platform development. It's nice to have new hope for the Camaro but 2009? Ford is going to win over a lot of pony car fans by then. Oh well, I just hope GM puts in some effort on the new Camaro. In the past, it seemed like the Camaro largely got ignored.

  3. $170,000?  What are they, fu--ing stupid?

No, seeing as how they were all sold before the first one rolled out of the NISMO shop.

Not hard to sell a limited edition run of only 20 cars, especially considering people who bought it probably bought it for the collectibility more than anything.

Image wise it's ridiculous, because it's a Skyline. It's still a $170,000 coupe based on a rather boring Japanese 4-door sedan. Yawn.

If you read exactly what they did to these 20 cars you would be more impressed. They basically rebuilt the car from scratch for performance only without any comprimises. The reviews of these cars are all very favorable. I also have never heard anyone complain about how boring a regular GTR is to drive. The new Skyline coupes and sedans (or Infiniti G35's over here) are also not what I would call boring to drive.

  4. I just looked it up and both the 6mt coupe and sedan are 3512lbs. The G35 is meant to be a luxury car so I don't think the weight is as much of an issue as it is for the 350z. However, since the 350z is built directly from the Skyline, they should weigh about the same.

  5. I usually don't get too excited over just drawings but this is an exception. This means Macross toys are not dead! I was sure Yamato was done with Macross and thought they no longer had a license for Macross Zero. This also means there might be a chance to get a VF-0D and the 'omg please, I beg you Yamato' SV-51.

  6. I don't see any 2nd gen Camaro's in that mess, just 1st gens. Still sad, though. I imagine most of them can be fixed but a few look pretty bad, especially those fiberglass vettes. With all the resto parts out there, you can probably build one of those cars from scratch.

  7. I'm sure the quality is going to be bad. I've stopped thinking Toynami just might get it together. Once you accept that and have a little super glue on hand, it's no big deal. The arm on my red alpha fell apart right out of the box. I just laughed it off and glued it back.

That one pic does look make the combo look funky. It looks like there are parts facing all kinds of directions. I just hope the whole thing stays together without failing apart easily.

  8. If that statement is true, my heart goes out to the guy even if he is a crook. I spent a decent amount of time in the NICU (6 weeks) when my triplets were born. It's not a fun place. The final bill was something like $750,000 but that also included my wife layed up in the hospital for 6 weeks before the kids were born. I would be hella screwed if it was not for health insurance.

In general, I think it is a bad idea to put personal information like that in an auction. It just makes it sound like a scam.

  9. Cool, thx for the link. For some reason, those pics make it look bigger than the last set of pics. I bet it would look awesome with all the stickers applied.

As much as I want this thing, I hope it doesn't come out till next year. There are too many things to buy right now so I need time to save.

  10. Freakin sweeet! :D:D:D That Beta looks very nice. I was expecting a crappy design if anything since Toynami had to do this one from ground up. I hope the price tag is south of $150. Anything more is getting very, very expensive for a toy made by Toynami. If it's $200, I will probably still buy one or wait for a good deal on a second hand one. I have a lot of expenses these days with a house full of kids. Go easy on me Toynami, plz.

  11. OMG that's amazing! That is some serious professional looking work. If it's sold complete or just has to be screwed together, than I'm interested. If it's like a SHE kit or something, than it's probably beyond my abilities.

  12. The 2007 Ford Shelby Cobra GT 500 stats are in. If the car can attain the estimated ratings, I'm definitely buying one.

Car and Driver Preview: 2007 Ford Shelby Cobra GT 500

I think that is one of the best looking Mustangs ever (69 fastback still my favorite). The black ground trim really help slim the fat styling. They should do this for all the new Mustangs. I would almost be tempted to get one myself someday but they sound expensive. The extimated $39k sounds too cheap compared to what the old Cobra's would cost. Given the high demand for normal GT's and the collectible Shelby name, I doubt you will get one for less than $45k if you can find one at all.

  13. I was pretty excited when I first heard Toynami was making a shadow alpha but looking at it now, it looks plain. I think they could of used better colors. Like the others, it will probably look much better with all the stickers on. I still plan on getting one but not for no $80.

  14. I sure hope it is a Beta but as someone has already stated, I would bet on Cyclones because there are models and toys for Toynami to copy. Since the Alpha's are not flying of the shelves, I wouldn't think Toynami would invest heavily designing a Beta toy from the ground up. I would love to be wrong but Toynami's history speaks for itself.

If it's the cyclone, I would be very hesitant buying one. I have one of those big Gakken's and it's a complicated toy. Toynami would have to improve their QC more than a little to pull it off.

  15. I love how Apple users get worked up over such stupid things. I bet most of them have never even seen their processor in their precious Apple computer. If the OS runs the same, who cares what it runs on? The PC has two choices for cpu's: AMD and Intel. Without being told, you couldn't tell which is running in any given system.

  16. I Know what you mean. Its not AS easy as dropping in there are some slight differences but its a cheaper alternative. The rear end alone will give me 4whel disc brakes when installed. Thats cheaper than ordering a new rear and axles and a brake conversion kit. I still have to research the motor mounts but it shouldnt be tough to adapt mine to the new motor. From what i have seen in the catalog they are "almost" the same mount. Right now she is in the shop getting dual exauhst and polyeurathane bushings allaround installed.

It's not always that easy but Chevy is pretty good about new stuff bolting up to old stuff. But sometimes it's more trouble than it's worth. New stuff with all the sensors and computers works great until something goes wrong, then it's a nightmare. A matched cam/head motor with the right carb and good ignition gets the job done just as good for less cash. Although, I would love to put one of those 6 spds in my Camaro some day. From what I studied, it will not be easy to fit but it would be worth the effort.
