  1. `Just got a VF-19P and a VF-11B from HKCollectibles. They both had the BW stickers. Great customer service too by the way! (I don't work for them, nor do i get commission!)

  2. I just don't get these eBay sellers. They list them at super ridiculously high prices, as if they don't want to sell the items. I understand that they should make a profit from the sell, but damn....

Generally japanese sellers on eBay seem to be less likely to list their items with competitive pricing. Which is a shame because if they did our usual shops would list with lower prices the rarer or "special" items.

  3. it does, but getting the hang of it (via numerous transformations) allows for a surprisingly quick and painless process.

you just gotta know where and how to put pressure. take some time to study and understand the mechanism; it'll be second nature in no time flat.

also, this baby is indeed a ROCK. it's no 1/55, but it sure is the closest YAMATO ever came to chunky-monkey sturdiness...

It's not so much the steps as the fact that a few of them require "sweet spot" pressure, instead of nicely falling into place as they do now in the VF-19 s.

  4. YF21 used to be my favourite design of them all [only closely matched by Gamlin's VF22S], and it is a very sleek figure, but as a transformable TOY, it pales in comparison to the VF19.

Trust me. The VF19 toys rock whether you like the designs or not ;)

Especially going from battroid back to fighter takes A LOT of patience.

  5. Didn't get a P, but I picked up a VF-19S from there, and it just arrived in fine shape. You have some kind of issue with it?

I got a P from an eBay seller and it arrived horribly packed with bumped corners, then the figure had a paint chip and two small areas of overspray, or paint transfer, whatever you call it. I contacted them and they never replied until i contacted them again 4 days later saying that i was gonna keep it. Then they replied saying, yeah ok whatever. I had decided to get another, which i wanted anyway, so now i'm not sure who to trust! I've been considering Amazon too.

The absurd thing is that i had got an F, from another eBay seller, and that arrived with a slightly deformed right wing. That eBay seller however was very helpful and they replied quickly about returning it.

PS I'm not going to name and shame that seller publicly, but i will say who it is if anyone PMs me!

  6. I appreciate the 2 cents, Dimis, but fourteen-year-old braggarts are what they are, ne?

If you don't mind the small premium there's a ton of preorders for the VF-25F at Yahoo japan auctions for 19,000 YEN, so a total of 22,000 before shipping with fees. Which is about half of what i had paid!

  7. alright, this is getting out of hand. 1st off, When i said IN YO FACE it was in no particular way directed towards ANYONE who did not get , or has not gotten one. And trust me, I really dont give a flying poop if you or anyone thinks it doesnt sounds cool. I said it because i felt an itch on my right nut to say it. If you guys wanna cry over and want other people to feel pitty for you then so be it. Dont ruin my night of joy because both of you (im a bigger fan than you) and (Im a hipocrite) think that extra Valk had your name

on it. Instead of complaining and crying about it, you guys should be refreshing them pages and maybe try a little harder the next time so you dont have to hold your teddy bears , and fall asleep crying at night.

Grow the F up and man up.

Actually i had a great night's sleep myself, because i wasn't planning on pre-ordering a third one. However the way you speak "felt an inch on my right nut", makes me sad i even attempted to give you another viewpoint! *shivers* Enjoy :-)

  8. Hey , i never said or typed anything negative towards Bandai/NY or anyone.... I stayed up just like every other fan on this forum did. Its not my fault your computer is slow and sucks..... I actually take offense to your statement... how dare you say im part of the problem?? I really dont know who you are or what your problem is, but you dont know me and i consider your statement an insult...... you know you dont have to be a sore loser, besides,,, I always say IN YOO FACE!!! its just a cool phrase,,, so please take a chill pill. I am a collector just like everyone else here, and i dont choose to make money from this like others.... I have nothing but good intentions for everyone here, and I like the fact that other people here share the same passion for Macross like I do.

    In short words...

Dont hate the playa, hate the game,,

    out

To be honest, you don't go to someone's funeral- which is how it feels for a lot of people who can never get even 1 piece- and say "in yoo face". Who gives a crap if it sounds "cool", it was really inconsiderate towards other members. I'm not saying the fact that you got 2 makes you inconsiderate, because i had bought 2 of the first issue for a huge premium (way more than 5000YEN over RRP) and that was my choice, but i never mentioned it because again it would be inconsiderate when everyone posts how badly they wanted but could not afford one. As for whether you plan to make money or not, i don't doubt you, but the sales thread will prove it. :D

  9. instead of 140$ I spent 500$, once I knew I slept over the release by 10 minutes, I just went and bought

the ONC 1/44 Apollo13. Meh, I'll get the VF-25F eventually through NY, I've got the G, and the RVF is on Pre-order.

    I'll just hold tight.

That $140 might, just might, cover the shipping.

  10. I'd actually like to see where this goes.

    Are you in Japan?

    No?

    They don't care :(

I had sent an e-mail in japanese to Alter regarding one of their products. They never even replied. I should not have said that i live in the UK :-)

  11. Yeah I know......

Anyway does anyone know what the current fair market value for the Max and Mira Valks are? Ive seen them as buy it now at over $600 on ebay but that seems way over priced. I was thinking it would be somewhere in the $200-$300 range or am I completly off base?

Those on eBay are 1/48, right? Unfortunately the 1/60 are rarer and even in Japan they easily fetch 25,000 Yen each. That's about $300 without shipping (and in our case, without middleman fees so you are looking at a total of $400).

Also, if you really like something, i think it's silly to say "i'll just wait until Arcadia re-issues it," unless it's a faulty VT-1 or VF-0S. Which is why i got a VF-1J Commander type for $300 today :)

  12. Ah that would be awesome. The ultimate would be Hasbro buying the whole shebang (international distribution from HG? Importing the shows and merchandising them price in the Transformers range). $60-70 for a VF-1, $100-120 for a VF-19, $120-150 for a VF-17.

I'm sorry but if a Hasbro VF-17 had the manufacturing standards of the Masterpiece line, then, well, what can i say? Not much point!

  13. When I unpacked my VF-19P I didn't even notice it was missing an intake cover, the white scheme was too gorgeous and had all my attention I guess :)

There'll be no more customer support for these toys now anyway, and the japanese based fans are in the same boat as us this time.

And to think that i'm actually a bit anal about the mintiness of my collectables. I've got a P coming... i hope it turns out ok, otherwise it will be on its way back!

  14. Just when you think it will never happen to you... again... i got my VF-19F and as a couple of others members had reported with theirs, mine arrived with the back edge of the right wing also showing a minor ding - why is it the right wing in all cases? The first time i went over it i didn't even notice it.

I've had very good QC with my purchases in 2012 and so far in 2013, so it was my time i guess. Do you think i can contact Arcadia for a replacement wing? :)

  15. Wow that's a lot of damage, you could get a VF-4 with that dough. Congrats though, it's a good bird.

It's funny that you mention it because that's exactly what i thought: when i bought the VF-4G (actually two of them) they were much cheaper each. It felt so wrong.

  16. Just got a VF-11C for only... $450, shipped... but it was from a japanese retail distribution company (or else the black market) and brand new, with refund available if there's a defect. Since Yamato boxes do not come sealed, and having spent so much on it, i'd rather have that for my peace of mind.

  17. Oh man - this is my most insane Macross haul ever:

    (1) VF-19P

    (1) VF-17D with super pack

    (1) Super pack for VF-17 (spare due to holding out on VF-17S for a little longer)

    (1) VF-19F

    (1) VF-22S Milia

    (2) 1/60 VF-1S Roy TV version

    (1) 1/60 VF-1A DYRL Kakizaki

    (1) 1/60 VF-1J Hikaru

    (2) 1/60 VF-1S DYRL Hikaru 30th anniversary ed.

    (1) 1/60 GPB-1S armor parts

    (1) 1/60 VF-1S DYRL Roy 30th anniversary ed.

And this is all the stuff I lagged on over the years. I actually bought a few of these just before the great panic but I elevated it during the past week. This isn't including the upcoming Bandai stuff (VF-171EX CF, YF-29 Anniversary, RVF-25 LUCA)! :o

Okay so you beat me, but mine has been for the month of March ALONE

    VF-19F, (would have skipped this)

    VF-19P,

VF-17D with packs (would have skipped this)

    and looking for VF-11C.
