With the addition of Delta to the Macross universe, I’m almost convinced that Macross is actually the story of the Jenius family! Frontier, Plus, and Zero are the only animated Macross works that don’t have a Jenius family member as part of the cast.

Mikimoto was only responsible for Eve in all three parts. Toshihiro Hirano did the designs for the rest of the characters in Part 1. 

The running Global is my favorite part of this drawing!

I love the 8880 car! Believe it or not, I learned about the set from a Japanese TV commercial that was on one of the anime tapes that I used to get from the Mitsuwa in my area. If I remember correctly, the CM was played in Blue Seed’s mid-episode CM. 

I swear someone on the writing staff was watching Gargantia when they wrote this scene.

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is plodding towards its end with all the vigor of an old-school zombie.  I'm not sure that's really a problem in the story so much as a lack of compression in the introductions.  They've only just properly introduced most of the main cast, and it has like two episodes left in its broadcast run unless it gets a second season.  It's like they're going to try to cram the first real story arc into the very end of the series in a big hurry.  

If the last episode you saw was episode 23, then you’ve already reached the end. NHK announced that the second season will start in April of next year.

Actually there was a model of the Star Fury made by Revell back in the 90s. I still have that kit sitting around unbuilt. 

Would I be considered crazy buying this used considering how much they’ve been market up or should I just wait until the Hikaru VF-1S movie version to come out? So far, the cheapest one that I’ve found was around ¥26000 in one of the used shops in Akiba.

My favorite anime is easily Macross, favorite manga is Maison Ikkoku. I’m still quite a bit old school! 

Saw what I’m assuming was an F-2 flying overhead near Enoshima today. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t flying lower so I could get a better look at it.  

I have a couple of friends that have watched it and they all say that it’s absolutely terrible. 

Yep, I remember those ads for VF-X2 was eagerly waiting for its release! Thankfully, I was at least able to get my hands on the Japanese release of it.

I’m not surprised at all and was actually almost expecting to learn that Mari was one of his victims. 

It’s been an industry “secret” for at least a decade that Mignogna is a predator. Each and every one of my friends that have staffed at conventions (some of them are even friends with Monica herself) and have dealt with him in the past have all said that Vic is garbage and that the only reason that cons have him as a guest is because he brings in attendees. So, yeah, I believe all that Mignogna has been accused of is true. 

Some nice mileages there! My ‘05 Sentra SE-R is just 500 miles or so shy of 252k miles! It doesn’t look pretty anymore, but it still runs strong.

Now that Crunchyroll has them up, I’m going to finally get around to watching Dancouga and Goshogun.
