  1. With that being the case then, how involved is HG's staff with overseeing it, or is it a case of out of site out of mind with regards to the 3 stooges as far as RT is concerned?
  2. If I am not mistaken, RT is only a small part of HG's overall business. Are they not in real estate? Also they have other shows and movies in their catalog however I never hear mention of them, How is HG a financially viable company?
  3. If the 2011 animated project is a re-dub of LLA, then the cell phone pic of Sera with the Invid Battle shield makes no sense. Then with a shrinking anime market here, I can't imagine many retailers carrying something like this as most only carry newer works except for DBZ. Jason, do you know if Allen Letz leaving HG was related to the b.s. that went down mentioned by Tom earlier?
  4. How certain are we that it will be a re-dub of LLA? One of the things that frustrates me most is that HG will tout how they have 3 works in developement but yet only produce prrof of one, the documentary which will most likely be a DVD add-on feature. Also didn;t HG do a fair or carnival recently talking about anime right before Carl died? if so i wouldn;t be surprised if the documentary was that filmed mixed with interviews.
  5. if manga's handling distribution for Robotech and has their own Macross titles, what are the odds they push to release more Macross here stateside.
  6. But wouldn't the continued sale of Macross Plus from Manga be grounds for HG to send a C&D? And if they did not act on it after the Copyright of 2001/2002, would it be grounds for whomever wished to license Macross material to use as a precedent? I would imagine so because even recently I have seen the Macross Plus box set on local store shelves. That added with the fact that there has been no "marketable progress" (for lack of a better term) from said copyright over the span of X years, another company could argue for the abandonment of the COpyright and susequent re-allocation. in this case I'd imagine someone such as Funimation or Bandai Ent.U.S.A. These are just the way I imagine things though, I am sure it is much more complicated but if there is a loophole I would love some company to pursue it. On a seperate note, I posted on Rt.com and pretty much called Kevin out, see how he responds. http://www.robotech.com/community/forum/read.php?id=2075615&forumid=31&pagenumber=14
  7. Manga's macross titles still use the Macross anme and image right? Couldn't these be used as a Precedent to argue that HG has not properly defended the Copyright they claim since Macross Plus products have been on shelves after they copyrighted the name Macross? That could open a door for other Macross products w/o HG's involvement. or I could be completely mistaken as I am not familiar with copyright law.
  8. Hey maybe Tom can shed some light on how well TSC sold. After all doesn't Kevin assert that it did massive "Gangbusters". Can we get the definition in a numerical sense of this very technical word.
  9. Interesting stuff Tom. As someone who is not a part of the infamous So-Cal fandom, I never knew the info with things going on. However I would like to ask if your leaving HG was related to Allen Letz's leaving? I remember in the "Birth of a Sequel" documentary from TSC, you and he seemed the most excited/genuine about the project. I am interested to see what you would have preffered as far as what TSC could have been if you're willing to post. Also Seto can prob answer this but if HG can hold Macross products out, how were we able to get Macross II: Lovers Again, Macross Plus, and Macross Plus Movie Edition? Also how are they allowed to still be listed in Manga Ent.'s catalog?
  10. If it is "Love Live Alive" yeah...that won't sell IMO. The animation is far too dated not in a bad way but the age is obvious and will put off many people who aren't familiar with it. Plus it will frustrate RT fans more by yet again not progressing or adding to the story.
  11. What's up Seto, it has been a while. Lol are you serious? Memo was the one who originaly gave out those images? Oh that's great. Talk about Irony. has anyone heard of the announcement of a new animted product to be finished next summer, not released but finished from HG? And thanks for the heads up on the Macross info. Hopefull I can get my hands on a translated novel.
  12. Thanks for the heads up Zor. One of the hardest things for me as a Macross fan is that I am not a fan of subs. I know many fans are, just not my thing. My anime collection is proof hat I am a true anime fan though lol. I just wish we could see more english stuff here. We have Macross, Macross II, Macross Plus, and I think that's it. So it's definitely frustrating but I made my way through Frontier episodes so I may grind this movie out. Back on topic, why is Memo making this such a big deal with the whole pic thing?
  13. As someone who is both a Macross fan and Robotech fan, I felt I should sign up here because the BS coming from the RT.com forums and the poo coming from Memo at RTX.com is just ridiculous. Sure seeing a new pic (that should have been in the RTSC art book) was neat but making it out to be some scandal like Memo is doing at RTX is absurd. I mean come on seriously. Sure I would like to see something new from Robotech but if this is supposed to be a distraction, then it failed because all it is doing is just making people more frustrated with Robotech. That said, someone earlier mentioned a new Macross frontier coming out. That is something to look forward to.
