Do we need to order like 6 of the little Draken setset so we have them for possible future releases also?

I imagine the shield and micro launcher bits are color matched, so we'll probably get CF colored ones down the line?

The Draken looks great but the transformation is something else.

I am definitely waiting to transform it until Jenius has a video posted. Any chance you could do transformation video to and from fighter mode?

    +1

Everytime I transform a valk for the first time, I always feel like I'm gonna break something. Can't even describe the terror that was pulling open the cannon on the dx vf-31.

I imagine this will be even more stressful.

So we have three episodes left and they have a ton of stuff to wrap up. I am almost expecting a three season from this series. Tekkadan have to survive/escape the Gjallarhorn fleet, most likely with Mika crushing most of the mobile suits and trashing the Barbatos. I think McGillis is going to turn on the Tekkadan in some way and Gaelio has unfinished business with him.

Even if Tekkadan/McGillis survives this initial wave on Mars they have to deal with Rustal and Julia. Not sure how they are going to give the series a satisfying conclusion in three episodes.

I think they'll use convenient plot device (mobile armors) to quickly thin Rustal's forces.

Thanks so much to jvmacross for hand delivering this piece to me and going out of his way to do it since I don't have a car!

Moderators, please add Archer to the SSL.  I just bought a valk from him and he was very quick with the transaction.  I must add that he did an impeccable job in packing the bird. Thanks again Archer!

Thanks! Valkyrie Hunter was also a great buyer, with fast payment!

Hope to do business again in the future.

hey Archer, yeah sorry didn't mean to derail your thread as KB also mentioned.. was just messing around. But yeah I won't be letting mine go anytime soon that's for sure.

Though having a quick look around there aren't any available other than on ebay but those are asking crazy money! :o

And of the two I saw on YJA the cheaper one is 40k yen! best of luck with your search all the same.

Thanks! I ended up working out a deal with a member here for one.

They were a huge hit and it sold really well, unfortunately Beagle made no money on them and they went out of business.  There is a rumour that the last 2 (Houquet/Rook and Yellow/Lancer) toys were prototyped and they exist in someone's personal collection.

Yeah, I can imagine. Not to de-rail the thread further, but the complexity of these ride armors puts most valks to shame. I wouldn't be surprised if the R/D and manufacturing costs didn't leave room for much profit. I'm somewhat surprised that the Toynami deal didn't bolster their profits though...

I couldn't even watch this without looking the other way. Same to wreck a perfectly good system.

It is good info though. I haven't yet used the system in handheld mode, so I was not aware the screen was plastic (!). It prompted me to grab some glass screen protectors.

Even if Nintendo did a plastic screen on purpose so it doesn't shatter with drops, it's strange that they couldn't put some soft material for the rails instead of hard plastic. Alternatively, they could have designed a much more secure fit than the wobbly dock fit we have now.

I haven't played Breath of the Wild yet but the weapon breaking mechanic does sound annoying as hell. And yet this game has 98% on metacritic. I stopped trusting game reviews a long time ago but if the weapon breaking stuff is half as annoying as you guys make it sound, a 98% score is laughable.

I actually don't find it that bad. In fact, I kind of enjoy for the sole purpose that it makes me switch up my play style. It is just one opinion, but I absolutely feel this game is deserving of that 98. It's been a long time since a game this fun has come around for me. Even witcher 3 wasn't this enjoyable.

  9. I haven't got my set yet, but I was wondering if the VF-0's hips can handle the weight of the RA when the hips are extended. Can one of you guys speak to this?

In the collectionDX review, the whole chest appeared a bit wobbly after Veef extended the hips. However, to achieve some of those mean looking poses in Dengeki Hobby, you definitely need hip extension.

Just don't want to wear the hips down prematurely from the weight.

  10. Went ahead an ordered some tempered glass screen protectors. I absolutely loathe using screen protectors, but I loathe scratches on the screen even more.

A little disappointed that Nintendo went with plastic instead of glass (didn't even need to be Gorilla glass either).

  11. I think they might have needed to make the shoulder armor that wide to keep it proportional with the chest piece (which itself is rather bulky).

ymmv, but I like this interpretation. I feel that the "slimmer" models out there can do so because they can afford a slim battroid profile since they don't transform.

What did Julieta throw at Shino? When I watch the episode it looked like right arm but then in recent episode she still has it.

    Did I miss something?

It was definitely the mobile suit arm, which got pile-driver'd off by Mika. I think it was the left arm, which is why you may have overlooked it.

  13. Had a weekend off to play Zelda. Wasted a lot of that time just trying out various recipes for cooking :p

The game is an absolute blast to play. Unfortunately, my switch's b button is rather unresponsive (need to hard press it before it registers a click, which means that in games like Zelda, i'll be running and randomly stop midway through the stamina bar falling; in menus, it takes 2 or 3 taps to get the button to actually register and back out of a sub-menu).

Unfortunately, right now, seems Nintendo requires you to ship the whole unit back for them to "repair" it, even if it's just the joycon. Who knows how long that will take. Ended up purchasing an extra right joycon and eating the cost

Atleast I have that blue/grey combo I wanted now

  14. Picked up the reactive armor on amiami, as well as a VF-0S on Jungle (lucky find too, at a really good price of 32k yen).

This is a dream piece for me, considering M0 is my introduction (and favorite) to the Macross series.

I was disappointed Yamato never made a RA, but I'm glad Arcadia took up the job (bulky proportions aside).

Does the tip of the chest (the part that connects to behind the cockpit6 in fighter mode) have any paint scratching?

    Hi Sandman,

The item has unfortunately already been sold. Was just about to update it.

Fwiw, I see no scratches in that area (or anywhere else really).
