K, thanks for the heads up. Btw, if anyone can, can someone post a pic of the yf-19 bop with a fold booster and/or FAST packs. Just wanna see before I commit.
-
Is this yf-19 reissue still available anywhere?
-
Hey, do you still have the yf-19 renewal version? If you do, I may be interested in purchasing it

Hi guys,
I've been wanting to buy a 1/60 YF-19 Renewal Ver. (the reissued version) from Yamato for a while, but I can't seem to find it for sale in any store I search. All my searches are coming up empty, even on Ebay.
If anyone here would be willing to sell me their YF-19 Renewal, preferably in a mint condition, please do contact me. I am more than willing to pay reasonable retail prices. Also, if you have a fold booster/FAST pack set that you want to get rid of as well, maybe we can work our a bundle deal for that as well.
K, thanks

I agree with you there m0n5t3r, but the yf-19 is one of my all time favorite designs within Macross. Truth be told, I started buying Yamato stuff this year, so I technically haven't "waited" very long though . I might as well quench my thirst with a bundle pack (which I heard had fewer issues than the standard release) of the yf-19. If a reissue is annouced, I believe Graham has stated that it won't be for a while (considering release of repaints as well as the new VF-17, and any impending future releases after that)...
Anywho, back on topic

on the toy you just detach the legs from the hip joint block. it kinda looks stupid coz the whole underside of the plane is 'empty' and the main thrusters obviously don't connect to anything.
when i disassembled my YF-21 a year ago for some joint maintenance i removed the legs but disassembled the bottom plates from the legs and attached them in fighter mode.
Aww...thats it? I thought there would be more to it than that Oh well, maybe I will pick this up after I buy a yf-19 then

So, I don't have any variations of the 21/22 valkyrie, so I have been pondering buying one. I did have one question for all you owners out there though. I was reading the yf-21 review @ anymoon.com (Best macross model related site on the web imho!), and Micronion, who I believe is Jenius here on MW, mentioned something about a "delimiter" mode in his review.
I know Guld did some crazy maneuvers in "delimiter" mode in the anime, but how exactly is that reflected in the toy. IIRC, the plane doesn't actually change in any way when its in delimited mode, save for performance changes. Does anyone have pictures of the model's "delimiter mode"?

I thought the movie was pretty good (saw it in 3D), but there was one thing that really irked me:
When Sentinel Prime goes rogue and shoots Ironhide 3 times, killing him, no one really seems to care. Even when his head falls off, people seem to care
less. Why?!! The poor guy has been there since the 1st movie, has saved many of said people's lives multiple times (even optimus if I recall), and no one
gives him or his body a second glance. Its like they (including the autobots themselves) got a case of the "another guy falls, big deal" syndrome or something.
I don't know, maybe its just me, but the lack of any emotion for fallen comrades seemed to plague this movie, especially this scene. Annoyed me a bit.
Even JAZZ got some sympathy in the 1st movie

what do you mean ?

I, like many others, am sitting on the fence until we see profile shots of fighter mode. That, and I prefer the G variant
-
@David Hingtgen
My thoughts exactly. I even cross referenced off of CG and the 1/72 model. The v2 fighter mode is noticeably wider imho.
-
I don't want to be a damp towel in the midst of all the excitement, but does anyone feel like the fighter mode is just a bit "off". Don't know, but I feel as though the length of the plane is too short and skewed in proportion. By all means it's better than version 1, but just a thought.
I wonder if my eyes are playing a trick on me or it's the pic angle....

SOLD
+1
I too love the new look of the version 2. Bandai should have hired flex a LONG time ago
Its a good thing I hesitated on buying either the 1/72 or the 1/60 DX. Looks like the best of both worlds are coming
together now. Unlike others though, I actually prefer the look of armored alto vs. armored ozma. Hoping Bandai doesn't gip me
on this one like they did with the armored alto parts for the version 1 release
By the way, if GERWALK looks anything like Hutch's profile pic, consider me sold for 2+

boy, don't make me slap you over this internet connection.
Aww..come on, you've got to have some element of like for G Gundam
Just think of it as a super robots show with Dragon Ball elements
-
Does anyone think there will ever be a PG from G-Gundam, especially since they've started production of HGUC from the series recently? I would love the idea of a PG shining gundam. Though the series may have sucked, the potential for articulation in these gundams would make for a great PG imho.

Do the cockpits in the VF-25,27 and 29 rotate in battroid mode? Not on the toy but in the anime.
I believe they do rotate upright with the moniter rotating with them. This results in the canopy being situated behind the seat in battroid mode (at least, that is how it seemed in the anime). Beyond that, Alto was shown to get out of the battroid via the canopy in the first Macross Frontier movie, so that may be how they exit the battroid...

Personally, in reference to the online exclusives, I highly doubt they'd make Luca or Michael an exclusive. First of all, there are a LOT of people who prefer the VF-25g sniper variant, and if elintseekers have taught us anything, luca's electronic warfare rvf-25 is popular enough imho to warrant a standard release. Don't know much 'bout armor packs though...
Assuming bandai release each and all variants, which would you prefer to buy? <-- This will tell us a lot about the general preferences of the audience of macross frontier
-
It would be great if bandai uses the design aesthetics of the 1/72 model
-
YYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank God I didn't jump on the YF-29. The VF-25 is probably my number one favorite mecha, and I was quite saddened at Bandai's previous attempts. As many hope alongside me, I too am looking forward to that hopefully awesome Armored Valkyrie that doesn't disintegrate upon touch.
But in all seriousness, if Bandai is reading this, plz make this even better than the YF-29 and pretty please with sugar on top make it well proportioned with LEGS IN THE CORRECT POSITION IN FIGHTER MODE (!)
Now an even bigger question plagues my mind: With so many options, which one should I buy
-
^thanks
-
There is still a possibility and time to have both options present. I think Yamato is too clever to give up too soon even if it is a 1/60 scale. If the primary mode of the VF-17 is battroid, then they can surely make this happen.
Yamato just needs to know, "They can do it."
Well...maybe...
They need to incorporate a mechanism to store rifle components, landing gear, as well as now, missile bays. Sure, Yamato has done some crazy clever stuff in the past before, but I do think that cramming all that stuff into one leg compartment may be pushing the lines of physcial possibility, unless the leg was super-sized of course.

sick of the 0/00 frame
I would like to see the other 3 partners tho. Why are they not getting any love.

Hey Jefuemon (or anybody that can speak japanese really), how do you type "Studio Halfeye Maneuver Blade for sale" in japanese? Been scouring through google sites and numerous auction sites to try and hunt one of these down. I know the production was limited, but there seriously HAS to be at least one out there that someone is willing to sell (preferably MIB).
Also, once again, anyone on MacrossWorld got one of these (that they are willing to sell of course)? Know of anyone in Japan thats got one of these that might be interested in selling?
Sorry for being so dependant guys, but my lack of japanese knowledge as well as lack of involvement in many forums such as toysdaily and whatnot that feature such items make buying one of these quite difficult, if not futile for me

I don't want to incite a flame war or anything guys, but for those that have both, which do you think is better? The yf-29 or the VF-19 kai from Yamato?
Problem is that I can only pick up one atm, so I want to get the one that is better in the general opinion...
In terms of design, I like both, so it comes down to a matter of build and quality really for me, and value for money
