And Evangelion is one of those series that polarizes a great many people... love it or hate it... it definitely causes pretty strong emotions from viewers.

I would also have to say the destroids just got blown away because they weren't piloted by main characters and the one ep where hikaru DID jump into a destroid and Zentraedi tried to blast him he kicked their asses.

Its an allright show I never did find anything too "deep" to understand it seemed to be typical characters with big ass robots killing big ass angels the first half then they decided to put ALL the gundam teenage angst into the last 12 eps and top it off with 2 rather funny eps at the end solving the angst overdosage.

No I am not joking. I found it interesting but not worth purchasing when I can rent them.

As for the movies here is my opinion CRAP. Giant Evil tongue EVA's and inconsistant mecha scale with one cheap ass ending that accomplished nothing.

Personally I hope that Ep. II os much longer then Ep. I and there is more exploration instead of walk to this screen tlak for an hour walk to next etc. But since they are on a planet it'll be all good now.

I think the bast part of the movie was the part when they are waiting to see som anime movie and some older people come up and say something like

V2's wings are not built in. It's an after effect of its propulsion system.

The ZZ Gundam has always been overpowered, but a forehead beam cannon is more realistic than a planet busting Buster Rifle.

Well still V2's design is VERY uhhh kid friendly just as much as anything from wing. I mean look at its colour scheme its not dark blue like ZZ and Z but bright yellow and blue also it has shiny pink wings that make sparkles nuff said. Also the wings ARE built in I Look at the back it has these two things sticking out to make these shiny wings of death.

As for a Forehead cannon that can VAPORIZE cruisers and crap and that being more realistic then some HUGE ass gun... right... also I mean maybe I haven't seen enough wing but I don't recall the cannon dudad for Zero being able to destroy the earth but more like destroy a colony.

Yes some of UC gundam has old animation NO old animation does NOT mean it has a GOOD plot (points at F-91 and ZZ) Good animation does not mean it has a crap plot (points at X).

Now wing is "immature how". Also I have nothing against wing but I personally didn't like it. I agree with you 100% Abombz I mean in Z gundam I could hardly care less about these characters I mean they were just so bland most of them had the personality of a card board box and yeah Jarid was a pretty crappy rival. I mean Robert the dude who got left behind and nuked I was like Who the hell was that?? Same with some of the caracters towards the end. V Gundam on the other hand I mean yeah I didn't care for some of the really early deaths I didn't care about but after about the 3rd shrike death I was starting to like them, the first time i really felt sad when a character die was that one shrike member who had to support the mass driver thing and they smash the cockpit and I was like . Every death after that just got to me more and more. I mean Maybe the death of Emma and her wannabe boyfriend captain guy were hte only deaths that got to me. Well Fours was kinda sad but she really wasn't in the show that much to develop a connection.

those'll be no big deal I mean I personally wasn't like when isaw those because they weren't grpahic enough the people exploding is by far the worst that show had. I mean if you were to include those then you would also need to edit out the last or was it second last ep when whats her face got shot a few times.

The only parts that would have to be cut from SEED to make adult swim are

1. The Kira getting dressed with naked frey in his bed

2. and maybe some of the exploding people scenes at the end

Well the Federation has kinda sucked since Z gundam. I mean they gave most of their power to the titans which got the beat down then the AEUG took over against neo Zion and did mass amounts of stupid things (I.E. Colony drop ALLOWED to happen because pop is to high etc.) then you advance 30 years and they can't even handle the dudes from F-91 its no surprise how much they suck by the time V roles around. I mean the are using the battleships from CCA!!!

wow I read somebody DID NOT like the cast!?!?!?! I think V gundam had the best ast of all Gundam series except Turn A. I mean even though they are little kids they are FAR more mature then lets say Cammille or stupid as Judau.

Also another thing that I REALLY liked about V gundam was all the dirty back hand tactics they used and they were the GOOD guys!! I mean in Z gundam it was enemy gets new suit and attacks Ahgama Cammille and buddies launch...win... camille cries because his life sucks repeat 40 times with a few good episodes here and there and thats Z gundam. Then of course you have wing, ZZ and there tactics were hey they outnumber us 1000 to 1 so lets attack head on because we are all powerful.

Uh.. Victory bombed in Japan. The show and it's merchandise line were a complete commercial failure. Ratings wise it ranks as the third lowest rating Gundam series of all time, the only ones rating worse being Gundam X and Turn-A Gundam.

It was the deathblow to the already bled dry UC timeline. Hell, it was essentially an alternate universe show with the UC label slapped onto it as it was. Gundam X was closer in spirit to the UC.

Victory Bombed in Japan toy wise but the show certainly did NOT do poorly neither did Turn-A I mean they are two of the LONGEST running series Z and SEED tieing. I mean Turn A even got two comilation movies. I believe the worst recieved gundam things were (at there original airing)

1. Gundam X got cut shirt at 39 eps

2. MSG it too got cancelled at its forst run at 43 eps

3. F-91 flopped in theatres.

Bandai didn't want a Gundam series where the title Gundam didn't appear for the first three episodes.

Dude the Gundam appeared in ep. 1...... also you do relize the title gundam's in Z and ZZ didn't appear for quite some time. What show were you watching?

EDIT- As for why it is not popular here well nobody has finished subbing it except ASS and maybe some ol' VHS subbing crew, but I think the furtheset any other group got was 21 and that was Anime- Gundam on real player (ugh!) I'm sure in a few years all the people who said Z was their fav will leave it alone because all the kiddies will be watching it and V will be for the *elite* fans.

As for games

Lufia 4- Ruins of Lore not quite as good as 1 and 2 (the best game ever) but still a great game but a bit hard at parts. STAY AWAY FROM THE THIRD ONE FOR THE GBC!!

Megaman Zero 1 and 2- Megaman done a bit differently but still fun (second one SO much better then 1)

Sword of Mana- WOW this game is SO good its a remake of Final Fantasy Adventure (which was never a FF to begin with) but adds SO much to it like a actual plot numerous mini quests, REALLY good graphics played Seiken Desetsu 3 yeah that quality not quite legend of mana quality but damn good for the GBA. I mean they added like another HALF to the game MAN ITS SO GOOD!!!!

Pokemon- well... they are really fun and they are remaking the original red and blue. Not sure when these will be out though.

As for the last two eps and the movies what I took from it was

1. Shinji thought his life was over because he believed that he could ONLY be a EVA oilot and now that all the angels were dead he had no purpose.

2. By having that School Alternate universe vision he determins that he can go on living his life not piloting EVAs

so all in all he determined Suicide is bad.

Now as for all the over anaylysis of what exactly did the insanly long still frame that occured in the elevator actually mean and what was the meaning of rei's third eye and why the hell the MP EVA's looked like giant tongue monsters outta a hentai I don't even mess with.

I like Macross 7 but yes it is no where near what Macross TV was like

It is sorta like what the Hobbit is for the LotR trilogy the Hobbit is much less epic, the action and seriousness is toned down quite a bit, a majority of the characters are sorta bland and pointless, can be quite goofy at times, and you have to wait till the very end for the kick ass stuff. But all in all it was a good book sure it wasn't as good as Lord of the rings but it was still a good book. (Now that is My opinion others may say the hobbit is better)
