Definitely some good news in there for two very vocal groups of fans. I'm still holding out hope for Kimagure Orange Road and Sakura Diaries someday though.

I'm unsure how to feel about this HxH has always been my fav shonen series even the latest releases havn't let me down (well 224 is pushing it) and having it published in english and being able to hold a book in my hands and read it will be quite a experience but viz from what I;ve read has a bad track record... is this true?

oh well maybe since its liscensed now Togashi will see this money as initiative to do hxh on a more regular basis instead of like a chapter a month...

well reviving an old topic now that the show has had some time its on ep 17ish and it seems to be comming along great. I am enjoyingit far more then EVA nr Rah dunno why but I am. Although the festums are always the same thing basically the show has interested me enough to watch it.

As for the character designs yeah the guy who did them can't design characters worth anything (look at S-cry-ed SEED and SEED destiny) they are alyways the same with simply different hair.

ok well I know this isn't the right place to ask about this but this is driving me insane. I need to find this poem/ short story and need help or at least a website to help me in my search.

i think it was called something along the lines of the bomber or firebomber

its roughly 3 pages long and is about a firebomber during the vietnam or korean war who has been ordered to bomb a villiage.

he compares himself to god where he can be a vengeful god or a merciful god and bomb the villigers or the crop fields in the end he bombs the crop fields.

he goes back later to see the villiage he saved and realizes there are no kids he asks where they are and one of the villigers tell him when the alarm sounded they sent the children into the crop fields to avoid the bombing...

so yeah help would be appreciated sorry mods if this doesn't belong here.

Out of curiousity has anyone seen the movie? it seemed to go somewhat into kakashi's past. although I doubt it would go to far into cause then the comic would be missing some major stuff.

but yeah the naruto vs. sasuke thing went over board cause they like flat out were transforming into like uber drag queen and semi-uber drag queen then like cutting each other with their long finger nails...

*remembers back in the days when their use to be all these cool jutsus and i thought the characters would learn them... instead of just constantly using the same 3 over... and over...and over...*

although the backround we got on sasuke was nice this last arc went on forever and nothing happened besides a bunch of boring fights...

it took his about a year to do this one arc... which was 90% comprised of the whole DBZish powerup fight stuff...a entire year...

Well since its over and it seems the efgfipsogfsgfs or whatever that atsuki or whatever group itachi is in will do something there may be hope yet... although that guy seemed like a giant fly trap... and the sakura actually doing stuff in the forseable future seems to be a rather good change

I just got mine the other day and while not as good as Alpha 2 it has imporved a hell of alot over its predecessor Impact. The battle animation is just as good if not better then alpha 2 and some of the menus have been tweaked around a bit but it still is the good ol super robot wars we know and love.

BIG changes

1. The map all the spites are relativly 3-D so its sorta wierd but not to odd.

2. The whole if 6 people are standing next to the guy shooting they ALL can jump in (assuming they have the ability of course) and blow the poo outta te bad guy

3. If two enemy units are standing next to each other and your using a specific attack you can attack both

4. GETTER ROBO'S MUSIC CHANGED!!! This is like the first time since like... ever.. but its not to bad.

5. ummm more to come soon... only on mission 7... Hades project Zeorymer's initial mission.

umm I think thats it... very cool game non the less far better then impact but not quite as nice as alpha 2.

The one at the top has a striking respemblance to Raideen an old 70 robo show

just watched the raw and wow this seems to be going rather well. Although the whole using Z as a basis is fairly easy to pick out. I.E. both characters witnessing their parents being killed before their own eyes etc.

NOW thats not a bad thing SEED did the same thing and turned out to be pretty decent after the whole desert and whats his face and the space whale bones... (wonder if they'll touch on that in this:P)

Heres hoping for a awesome rest of the series.

I dunno I watched the entire thing in two big parts... I watched eps 1-14 in a row... and was mildly entertained by the old skool giant robotness of it all but then after that... the show really lost me and I stopped there for the day and watched 15-26 just to see how it ended and honestly i felt that the TV's ending was by far the most optimistic ending ever... all I took from it was hey you can make life what you want it to be and your aren't destined to do one thing but you can make your own decions... and my faith in the show was remotly restored then I saw EOE and it went back down like 10 notches...

Note this is entirly my own opinion not to offend anyone.

With the final Greed Island dvd released a few days ago is there any word on if they will continue relasing the comic in more OVA's to come? I assume they will but is there a official confirmation?

yeah I just saw it today and it was exactlly what I was expecting from it... the gratuitus action film of the summer. I sat down expected Aliens and predators to kill each other... they did... lots of humans died... little plot... well I didn't expect one from my testosterone film of the summer... I mean personally I think it was better then say... King arthur... that had less of a plot... altough more likeable characters...

Sure I sat there the entire movie with some of my buddies and joked the entire thing but ya know thats why we went to see a cool action movie... and that was it.

BTW- one of my friends whispered to me when the Predator took of his mask at the end of the movie "time for a make out scene" like everyone around us burst out laughing

oh coolness so it will come out well I think I'll wait then i was thinking of buying it and One Piece Grand battle 3 but opted not too.

yeah I've seen pics and it looks pretty sweet but with the localization of the anime have any of the games been confirmed for a North american release?

Anime- Ed kills him

comic- is killed like 5 times by pride...(fuhrer) then brought to this room where you see Ed and Al's dad who is the father to the homocleus and is killed there sorta reminded me of the way cartoons died in Who framed rodger rabbit.

Ed and Al's father-

anime- seems to be fighting against the homocleus and just recently appeared

comic- commands the homocleus to do his bidding he is their "father"

Philosophers stones as homocleus life source stuff-

anime- they turn people into them and eat them

comic- have one inside of them that keeps them alive

Hughes death-

Died the same way BUT in the anime they are still researching his death in the manga Mustang went psychotic and killed whats her face (the girl who was ordered to protect al/ed during the 5th laboratory incidet) pretty gruesomly.

Fuheres secretary (homoclues forgot name)

anime- is ed/al's mistake made from their mothers remains

comic- is some wierdo who hasn't even been shown besides one pic but in that IS NO way their mother... looks more like a threatening gluttony...

Most recent plot arcs-

anime- after greeds death ed goes off to find scar (insert stuff) scar transmutates like a army into the pholosophers stone into al. scar dies/ kimbly dies/ lots of people die

Comic- after greeds death ed/al run into a man from Xing (another country) who is looking for the secret to immortality. Scar is completly out of the picture... Mustang and crew are fighting the homoclues and armstrong just took ed away to *forgot where*

I just read up to chapter ~40 (the latest one) of the manga and have seen up to ep 44 of the anime and WOW they aren't even relativly similar anymore!?!?! the plots have completly branched off characters have died in the comic and are alive in the TV show. Events are done differently.

But what version of the story do you like the most? I think the TV show is doing the best job keeping the characters presented (I.E. scar...) while the comic has left out or simply killed characters. But I think the manga presents a better plot these last few chapters have been extremlly intense while the latest TV eps (since scar stuff) have just been ehh...boring... and the TV show is ending in a few more eps (52 is the count I believe).

So which do you prefer?
