  1. Using spoiler tags for people that aren't watching the final episodes of Frontier currently airing (this is about the 1/60 toy just so everyone knows):

So in the next time scenes at the end of ep.24 does anyone think that was the Bandai 1/60 VF-25 sitting next to the picture book or the model? It had a nice looking glossy finish. It could have just been a fighter mode only thing made for that sequence though but it looked really nice.

It was the model. It was too small, and not chunky enough to be the 1/60 toy.

I'm kind of hoping we'll get a cannon fodder VF-25 or that Michel's will also come with a standard gunpod.

  2. VF-27. It can take out a carrier with one shot, no missiles involved, that's more than any of the other valkries listed can do. It's like the SV-51 on steroids. I don't like the heads on either of them in battroid mode though. It helps that in fighter mode it makes me think of a cross between the SV-51 and a VF-4 or VF-14.

  3. And it turns out that Sheryl's father is one Aegis Focker. :p

This episode was awesome. I think Alto bailed out while Klan was occupying Brera's attention.

I'm waiting for "Kakizaki" to get blown away.

Jaw dropped when Ai Oboeteimasu ka started up. And here I was expecting/hoping it would be Sheryl singing it leading the Frontier to victory. Oh well, maybe next episode. It was just amazing to hear this new version, which sounded good, unlike the craptastic one that Mylene sang.

It was a nice switch. That song used in defense of a planet against the human invaders. The fleet barrage away from the planet.

Here's to hoping that Brera gets shot down and dies next episode. :) And that Grace gets that really brutally nasty ending... :D

Battle Frontier vs Battle Galaxy, with Macross Quarter and the SMS to come in and save the day! Hell maybe there'll be a second season, who knows?

So exciting to be a Macross fan right now!!!

  4. If the vertical stabilizer were bigger they have to make the leg/ engine nacelle bigger so it can slide into place and not have it stick out. I think it's a compromise to make a sleek fighter.

On the old VF-11 toy true. If they go with the official transformation, then there is most definitely room for larger vertical stabilizers. They slide down toward the ankles and a hinge at the front of the stabilizers allows them to swing towards the knees to go into the leg.

  5. I'm not encouraged by the CAD, but then again I wasn't for the YF-19. Thought it looked fat, and messed up with off proportions. It looked and still looks great in 3D. :) I'll wait and see what comes of this. Nitpick time, because I looooooooove the VF-11.

-The vertical stabilizers look too small. Have to wait and see how it looks as a prototype.

-The length of the body appears too short. Could be a compromise I can live with if battroid looks good, and again it might not look so short in person. It also could be that in comparison to the large wings spread to maximum, that it looks too short..

-The nose seems just a bit too short, squat, and blunt. Not as bad as the old 1/72, but a bit too much for the 11. Especially if you look at line art even in battroid mode.

I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised with the VF-11 when we see a prototype. :)
