  1. To those of you who have seen it, are the battles more interesting/varied this time out?  Do they actually make interesting use of the armor parts for more than four seconds unlike in the first movie?  We've seen from the first five minutes the friendly-brawl between Hayate and Bogue they actually make use of all three modes for once.  It's be nice if they keep it up through the whole film.

Also, I have no spoiler sensitivity.  Put it in tags, describe the entire thing if you like.  I'd just like to know what the fight scenes are like.

So we are potentially a few more Macross series away from catching up to the events of Macross II....

I suppose they can jump foward past 2092, simply ignore the events of MII and start up with a new Macross series, but how would you explain the lack of "fold crystals" in MII if it remains in the same "timeline"?

Maybe they will retcon it and say that in-universe producers of the "MII mini-series" released it as part of a "What-if" show....LOL

They don't need to jump past anything.  It doesn't have to be an event that occurred in universe.  The "event" itself could be just like the release of The Matrix in our world.  The Matrix didn't actually have to happen in reality for it to exist as something to watch.

Is there some truth to this?? :unknw:

From D Amazing's review on V.2 Doc Noc, I scrolled down on the comments and this popped up.

Yes, I received the same e-mail.  His comment isn't quite accurate.  Orders begin processing today, not necessarily "shipping."

  4. Something else I just realized, the armor parts are slightly different too.  The booseter/missile parts are attached at the wing roots like the new boosters are too.  You can see them rotate to maneuver Hayate's 31 here.  Not a surprise, really, but it's going to be even WORSE to implement on the toy.

I got a question about these Macross Delta Valkyries, I used to get the older Macross Frontier toys and was dissapointed in how loose the joints got right away. I even purchased the Renewal versions of some of the toys but was still dissapointed. Since then, I stayed away from Bandai Macross toys until the 1/48 SDFM VF-1J came out and have been buying those. What are your impressions of the Macross Delta toys? They look similar to the Frontier toys and I assume they have the same issues.

    They get loose/floppy too.

Is the YF-30 really that bad?  I've been trying to decide whether or not to get one.  I love the way it looks but am concerned with the issues it has that I've read about.

That bad?  There are two things that might make or break it.  If you want to use the waist swivel in Gerwalk you have to use an additional brace to keep the back up.  If you stick to traditional Gerwalk it isn’t a problem. The other issue is you need to use a brace to hold Battroid together because they didn’t come up with a better mechanism until the 31.  If you want to transform back and forth a lot it’s irritating but otherwise it’s typical poor Bandai first attempt engineering but it’s perfectly functional in all three modes.
