4-LOM looks pretty incredible, actually.

Maybe this is just the first of the whole Delta gang getting reissues....
... maybe. But I really don't want a third Arad and Chuck just for their Super Parts.

I guess i was tyring to say that at least Arad got something , where Chuck got the short end of the stick.
We're in agreement.

I think Chuck was the only one in the regular 31 series to not get supers or a gun , instead he got a radar dish.
Arad didn't get Supers either. He at least got his armors, which Chuck did not.

Hey now, never underestimate their ability to mess up a good thing with later iterations. Some of the worst-fitting parts of the 31AX were still using the same design as the original.
Were they?

This is the 31, not the 31AX. It already fit together fine. It was Bandai's best engineered Valk.

I don't collect Mezco's One:12 but can I ask to where you're comparing the price with?
Probably Mafex and Sentinel, which both had more accessories plus their own full sets of soft goods clothing for different looks that aren't available here.

I disagree withbthe use ofnthe diaphragm joint on Wolverine here. The swivel/crunch would serve the costume better. Belt covers the waist swivel and the crunch helps maintain the vertical blue look along the sides

I gotta say, this year Hasbro is finding an awful lot for me to actually buy.

I think the forward door just has to swing that far forward to allow the strut to descend fully. The strut also looks as if part of the landing gear door is mounted to it's front. So then three panels , counting the rear door, fully make up the gear doors.
Yeah, it's three panels. Which it is not on the animation. But that longer front panel throws off the look enough from that 3/4 perspective. The esrlier side view show it is in about the correct place.

Oh, I don't see my anticipation going away for this release. I have a feeling they didn't show it at WF due to the updated version of this, and in looking at the new pictures, this looks like it's one of the more final designs (not final, but closer).
It does look like the gun may not be closed inside and/or locked in. I don't know if it has a retracting handle, but that could also be a reason, not wanting to break these parts. Also could be the same thing for the rear wheels, but from this image, it does look like they should be about 3+mm longer. The front gear doesn't look extended right, but maybe for the same reasons as the gun.
That was a much earlier image, 2022. I was just pointing out I think the sngle of thst newer pic and the extra flap to make room for the landing gesr makes it look farther up than it actually is. Unless for some reason they reengineered the whole nose cone since that time.

That nose gear looks awfully far forward, but I couldn't quickly/easily find any references for it.
I think it's the angle and the mechanism they've employed for the doors.

You’ve had the HM and HMR VF-19 in hand already?
Does he need to? Old versus new side-by-side. They're clearly different.

Hmmm.... I wonder how much difference there is between the Hi-Metal R Fire Bomber VF-19 and the original Hi-Metal Non-R version of the same valkyrie.
I don't own the Hi-Metal Non-R version, so I have no idea how good it was.
Considering the differences between Hi-Metal R and non-R VF-1 Valkyries are relatively minor, I wonder if that is also the case for the VF-19.
The differences are significant.

They're actually getting better at hitting their targets.
I just did the math onnthe more recent pre-orders/releases. They're back to averaginf around a year from pre-order. That's slightly longer than before Covid, which averaged around 11 months from pre-order.

Pre-orders are still 4pm Japan time, right?

Gotta get that Model 9, Data East Captain America and the Avengers!

A few folks have been having broken display arms, and Sentinel has been helpful in sending replacement ones:Only if you still have the box. They wouldn't send me crap.

It looks better than the one I boxed away. Then again that was the one from 20 or so years ago
If you're talking about the original from the 90's that was nothing but a statue. Still painter better than todays MacF figures though.

Odd, their first two re-issues and it's Popeye and Roadblock?
Popeye makes a bit of sense, it's a fantastic figure... but still.

ALTHOUGH...
I really would love if they milked this to make a few more versions, like they did for the Focker VF-4. There are so many alternates they could do with simple palette swaps, like the dozens of schemes in the Master File, or even the racing versions like the Nothung, or the trimmed-down SMS variant we've seen now and again.
Really though, if they make the 19P, I might buy myself a bunch for customization purposes. The tight tolerances and cost of the Yamato version made it prohibitive, but 3D printing has come a very long way since that release, and I could have a lot of fun making customs in this scale.
My plan is 3 19P's if they make them.
