  1. The Valkyrie is a spy drone Mikhail built so he wouldn't get stomped by Klan. That's my theory.
  2. I've heard that one of the power armor suits at the beginning of DYRL has a missile pod of some kind equipped. Try as I might I can't find such a thing, so I was wondering if anyone had a screencap. I did a search, and saw that Nanashi's website used to have one before it (apparently) went down...
  3. I'm still waiting for my copy. I think the bastard on eBay took my money and ran. Oh well, that's fine by me. I know where he lives.

    Glues

I'm just curious what sort of glues are in common use around these parts. Mostly because I'm still a novice, and a little confused by all the different options. I found a nice glue called Heavy Grip Cement at Roche Bros., which is made by Elmer's. It works on plastics, and near as I can tell it's not a 'solvent' glue (doesn't melt the plastic to form a bond). It's also not clear, it's more of a yellow hue. I think it'll be fine, though, because I intend to pain this, and it'll help me see how the seam looks by contrasting against the white plastic.
  5. Well, I finally knuckled under and bought a 1/72 VF-1A, instead of going with my original plan of waiting and building some other Hase stuff to get ready. I had to, it was such a nice price. Anyway, I guess I'm going to do it as a DYRL Kakizaki. That way if I screw up...who cares? It's just Kakizaki!
  6. Gah! Where the hell were all you people the last time I made a post askin' for players? Okay, okay, okay....anyone who wants in, PM me. I'll have to go scrounge for my MZ books, but....
  7. Yeah, I'd say they're pretty fast and easy to get into. Of course, there's also Mekton Zeta: The Movie, which has optional rules for condensing things to make it even easier.
  8. Well, at aircraftresourcecenter.com they have pictures of resin replacement intakes for Hasegawa F/A-18s... ....in 1/48 scale. D'oh. Anyway, thanks Dave. I'm going to look into an -18C myself...sure, it's kinda nitpicky, but somehow I don't see the US Navy handing off a Super Hornet when they could just as easily sell off an "older" craft to the UN Spacy research arm. EDIT: Oh, and sure, if I get that kit, I'd be happy to let you have the decals. Since this is going to be a "UN Spacy VF-X Test Team" project, I'd end up using the Option Decal #2 set anyway.
  9. Well, as the Macross Mekton topic shows, I've got pretty much everything ready (from VF-1s to all the various enemy mecha as well as Zentran/Meltran rules), I just need to find my books again so I can start a game. I'm going to try WebRPG.
  10. I know Hasegawa seems to have a bad habit of rereleasing old kits and putting them out with new kits and not noting the differences ( ), I was curious if anyone knows which of the 1/72 F/A-18s they've put out are any good. I ask this because I'm trying to work up the nerve and the skills to do a VF-1, and I figured a plane in the same scale by the same company would be a good idea; I'm gonna work up to the VF-1 by building UN Spacy "chase" planes.
  11. I dunno, I decided not to go with all those fancy custom rules when I made my campaign. Seemed like it'd bog down play, and I never bought into the whole 'custom VF' thing. I figured it'd be much simpler to explain the feats of OMG INSANE seen in Macross as more due to the pilot than the machine. Anyway, as an example, here's the Q-Rau, everyone's favorite enemy mecha. Before my MZ books got packed, I ran a quick playtest game where one Q-Rau with an uber-ized Meltran went up against two Nousjadeul-Ger with standard pilots, ala DYRL. The Q-Rau decimated both Zentran before the seond round was over. Attention!

Seriously? Sorry man, I've been sitting on this for months, if I had known I woulda posted sooner. Oh well.

    Attention!

I figured I'd give a shout-out here, to see if anyone out there's got what I'm looking for. Basically, I've got a Macross RPG for Interlock (Mekton) all statted out, but need someone to help with putting it up nice in PDF form for the world to see. If anyone out there has Acrobat, some time on their hands, and a willingness to help, I'd be much obliged.
  14. My last post in the Hase VF-0 topic got me thinking. I'm currently in the process of acquiring a 1/72 VF-1J kit, and was wondering if anyone's tried seeing if the Valks accomodate other 1/72 equipment, like the seven or so Weapons Sets that Hasegawa's already put out. Does it work? Or would it take some fiddling to attach them properly? I'm only asking because I have a mental image of a ground-support Valk toting two SUU-23A 20mm gunpods on the inboard pylons, and smart bombs or laser-guided missiles on the other. Rock on.
  15. Doesn't the VF-0 accept 'real' weapons like the Sidewinder and Phalanx? Maybe Hasegawa won't release an M0 set because it would be redundant with existing weapons. Then again, they probably couldn't resist the urge to bilk some more cash out of us....
