loved this movie, no where as good 'story-wise' as the first, ong bak 2's story is pretty forgettable,but the fight scenes are what this movie is really about, excellent martial arts fights and technique,especially the last 20 mins when he goes to the village. insane.

I thought the Supervision Ship incident was perfectly cogent and logical. It makes sense that they'd stumble on something like that, and it also makes sense that Britai would fetch Misa to show it to her, and that ultimately after some deliberation they'd conclude that they need to focus on their primary mission rather than risk further confrontation - makes sense. It's really no more of a "tease" than the WTF-1 in Frontier

As for Milia throwing the baby - that WAS a great shot. In fact, that whole domestic scene was interesting because Hikaru seemed to be really freaked by family life; and by the baby in particular. All of the nudging done to induce Hikaru towards Misa, and he still doesn't really get it...or does he?

That's something I wonder - we've got a good explanation for Minmei's "he's my friend" line provided a few posts up by Dreamweaver, and we've analyzed Minmei's psyche a bit to understand her. Same with Misa...

But what about Hikaru?

I mean - come on - how dumb can he be? It's like episode 1 zillion of the series when he Misa decides to apologize to hium, but he comes over and chews her out and the bridge bunnies are like "Lt. Ichijo is dense." "Lt. Ichijo doesn't realize Cpt. Hayese loves him."

And as much as I hate explaining away events by way of "'cause he's stoooopid" - I fail to come up with a better reason.

Alto at least was stubborn, self-absorbed, problematic, aloof, elitist (in an artsy-fartsy kind of way), re-active (lots of what he does is just him running away/rebelling against his dad) --- but he wasn't dumb. I mean - he did notice that Ranka liked and later loved him and he cared a lot for her. He also did start developing feelings for Sheryl as soon as Sheryl stopped being a biatch to him (aka episode 3 onward)...

But Hikaru - goodness. He's dense. The ONLY time I saw him take the initiative was when he peeked in on Minmai showering.

I used to think that the problem was that Minmei confused him too much and short-circuited his impulses. He didn't know whether he was coming or going... and Misa - well... when she grabbed his hand after the Shao Pai Lon attack and asked him to stay and walk with her a while - how much more explicit did she need to be?

And she did say she prefered kissing him to Kakizake

I dunno... I don't understand Hikaru's behavior much.

haha true,hikaru was too oblivious to everything misa threw at him, not to mention the time she waited for him ALL DAY at that cafe while he had a trip to see minmay,and the envelope of photos she gave him,i mean how much do you need??

I was imagining the other day what if i my car was covered with macross decals from sdf to frontier and i drove it down for the con lol ,would be cool , GC still seems to be the place so far imo. and with the MAF battles maybe by the time the con is on Macross Ultimate frontier will be out so more action to be had! i still reckon having a projector or something in the background showing a movie or flashback 2012 would be sweet,minmay songs playing in the background as peeps check out the collections and so forth.

that game pad thing is cool,no one can disagree that what ever ranka or sheryl do,minmay does it better.

and that new Ultimate Frontier game looks awesome!! dammit tho,why dont they make one for 360 or Ps3??

Kamjin was still a weak villain.

nah, I liked kamjin he was one of the most entertaining zentradi and gave the aftermath episodes some amusing flare, the love triangle with misa ,hikaru and minmay was very well done,and realistic,i was always curious what would happen next between them all when i first saw those episodes,i recall myself saying 'well hikaru,you messed that one up again' a few times lol.

saw it last weekend, great action movie, and i loved how it paid lil homages to the previous films with john listening to his mothers recordings and the photo from T2,good stuff and kyle was cast well imo. the whole marcus storyline was cool,but

kinda made no sense really,but cool never the less. i loved how the molten metal went over the T-800 and he walked out of it and it made like a 'hood' like the grim reaper lol,that was cool.

good movie,but does nothing for the overall story. just a war film set in the timeline.

I second that motion! this thread needs more misa!

public walkin would be a good way for new attendees to have a look-see and spread the word,but everything will have to be alot tighter,some or most collections would have to be behind glass cases and such,becuase some people like to look with there hands lol, which will be alot harder to set up aswell so..public walk in has its pro's and cons,but somethin to think about i believe.

i love it too, The minmay songs with a nice montage is a excellent fix of macross imo. and the new parts are enough to keep me wondering. its a great 30min special.

art exhibition hmm, I guess i can get my canvas's out and paint some new macross pictures to show,im also got a sizable collection now that i have been thinking of taking some pictures of and possibly bringing it for MacAusCon 2010, since i couldnt attend this years im comin for next years. Venue should be some place with bit of room to move,that RSL area from Blade looks awesome,something like that would be cool. maybe a big overhead banner or flag. I'll post any ideas i think of when it comes to mind.

the new cinematic trailer is just too awesome for words! damn sweet indeed. ill be picking this game up,bioware is king of rpg and a mmo thats fully voiced is something i must see.
