  1. Of course the heatshield on the new 1/60 VF-1 is perfect transformation. You don't seriously expect they would take a step back and make it removable do you? Graham
  2. My connection has been fine all day luckily. It only took me 20 minutes this morning to download it. Heh, maybe mass download of the Macross Frontier ep is causing ISPs across Asia to crash......LOL! Graham
  3. Ah, but they are not real, just a Graham
  4. To be honest, I don't know. Graham
  5. How come so slow Kensei? Being that you Aussies are upside down anyway, shouldn't the force of gravity work in your favour and help the download trickle into your computer faster? Or doesn't it work like that? Sorry, too much Christmas Cheer (AKA alcohol) in me already....hic! Graham
  6. Wow, a trailer for the second episode already! What a great Christmas! Graham
  7. While it's great we get to see this "DeCulture" directors cut of the first episode, I hope it doesn't hurt the ratings of episode 1 when it finally shows in April. As most fans will have probably watched the directors cut many times before now and April, they may not bother tuning in for the first ep when it shows and just wait for the second ep. Graham
  8. Heh, note the trim color on the shoulder pads of the students flying suits. Graham
  9. I rarely use any sort of profanity, but OMFG! That was absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see more. Graham
  10. Just started watching the ep, so more comments later. However, based on that 2ch pic posted earlier, I'm absolutely loving the look of the VF-171s and the Ozama's grey armoured VF-25. I so want Yamato 1/60 scale toys of thse. So it definitely looks like there are two separate forces, the NUNS (New UN Spacy?) and SMS. NUNS is a somewhat unfortunate choice of acronym IMO. "Nuns in space' anyone Heh Heh. Well, as the Ivanov SV-51 was often referred to as the "Space Pop" by members here, I guess we can have space Nuns as well. Grahams
  11. The 1/100 VF-19Kai is an mostly snap fit kit from 1995. It is molded in red, grey and yellow plastic. It can be built unpainted, but of course looks better painted. The other reissue kits are all 24 or 25 year old designs and definitely require glue and paint to look good. Graham
  12. Yes, they are coming out, but they are just reissues of old model kits. Graham
  13. How are you getting SMS run the whole fleet just from Kresphy's & Sketchley's short translation? All I get from it is that SMS have a battleship called 'Macross 25'. Being either a civil defence force or paramilitary force, it's pretty obvious that they would have some sort of battleship. Graham
  14. I think you may be right about the new pic showing the legs beginning to move down at the start of the transformation sequence. If you look just past the intake on the new fighter mode pic, you can see a black triangle, not on other pics, which seems to indicate a leg hinge at that point. On the battroid mode pic the black triangle is not there, only a panel line. Graham
  15. I posted the scans on page 5 of this thread. Tsk, what sort of MWer are you if you haven't read every page of this thread at least twice already! Graham
  16. Another improvement I forgot to mention over the 1/48 is that in fighter mode, the 1/60's arms to not hang as low as the 1/48' arms. Infact they sit much higher up. Graham
  17. Looks like the VF-171 designation is official, as the HJ article also mentions it, which makes it two magazines that have used it now. Notice how the older figher and gerwalk pics of Aruto's VF-25 did not show the black and red head top colors, instead having the head plain white. It's only in the battroid pic and this new fighter mode pic that the black and red head colors are used. I guess irt was a fairly recent color change decision then. Graham
  18. Yep, double elbow joint. Graham
  19. Here's the latest Macross Frontier articles from the new February 2008 issues of Dengeki Hobby and Hobby Japan magazines. Note the new top view pic of Aruto's white red & black VF-25. Not too sure I like the gap between the legs and the shield though. Graham
  20. BTW, this refers to my "Saturation Penetration" sig of a few months back. Congrats to those who guessed right. Graham
  21. There may still be the occasional reissue, but yes, for all intents and purposes the 1/48 is dead. All hail the 1/60! Graham
