Just wondering how everyone is planning on displaying their DX toys?
Graham
rfv-25 - 1/72 with superpack in fighter mode
vf-25g - with and without packs and alt between fighter and battroid.
vf-25f - when the 25g doesn't have packs on. I'll put it on this one and alt between
the 2 modes.
vf-25s - don't have it. should I get it now??? or wait??? I want armor for it and will probably
give in to seperate packs if thats the only way to get them. I wish they would just say.
-
you have NO choice but to get it and you know it!
-
i hope both too unless there's some retooling to hold the armor in place.
the 25s is still in stock at a couple places so not so much a seller as the 25f.
that also means a lot of people passed on it this round. i have to pass on the
superpacks myself because seperately its just too expensive for what you get.
bundles like mik and luca are the better deal and hopefully those sales are good
to show them we want ozma bundled or both, but definately not just an overpriced
special order for parts.
-
Maybe the strongest epoxy you can find if you can get the rest of the joint
Out of the cock piece.
Now is that little picture confirming dx armor packs?
-
2.) vf-25F have a hip mod.
*I have grind the hip a little bit, so that it can achieve a much more aggresive "A-stance" (see comparison between stock and mod pic 14)
Enjoy!
The vf-25 looks very good now IMO.
you're making it damn hard resisting getting the ozma!
*sigh* well can you post a clear picture of the hip mod and how you did it? what tools
did you use?
-
good review, but some quick comments: there is actually a hip joint and
you can keep the gun hands in when you transform it to jet mode. it's a tight
fit, but can work. the small fins on the shins should be at an angle like the model
so yes, it's a design flaw too.
-
For those of you that got your VF-25 DX from HLJ, how much was the shipping? Since the box is som much smaller than a Yammie, just curious if shipping was less.
Chris
it was about a month ago, i can kind of remember the total which was
$160-165 with ems s/h.. that's including the intl transaction fee bank of america
charged me which was around $10 & took a week to arrive to cali.
-
Yes, its OK, but they only acept EMS Shipping
cool. thank you. i prefer ems anyway. (Need to track it like a
hawk).
now does anyone else think a 1/60 vf-25 should really be closer
in size to the sv-51? they're very simular in design except
the arms are on the outside and both their bodies fold over
itself, even the shape of the nose is pretty much the same.
anyway i'm refering more to the jet mode.
(i know they've downsized since the vf-0.) just a thought.

Good new for DX VF-25F Alto custom
Bandai re-issues it on April
Is that place good? I just placed the last reserves for Michelle's.
-
Yes, It's good, but it has one problem.
After attaching super pack, the parts on the shoulders will be slide.
ya, i've thought about that too. we'll have to see how that sp part moves.
-
Can someone post a better description or perhaps photos of how to do this, I don't have the toy with me now, and I don't really understand the directions.
-
Negotiator--I don't know how I missed that picture, I guess great minds think alike!
Of course!
hopefully bandai will learn how to do it and take better pics, lol
-
i dun said that over here

Ok I'm feeling pretty stupid, just got my Ozma and I can't get it to stand in gerwalk mode properly. The feet and ankles seem to floppy and wont hold a position. I can get it to stand without falling over only with the fuselage parallel to the ground. Anyone have any tricks or ideas what I am doing wrong? Is it fairly sturdy in this mode...or does it require delicate balancing? Thanks for any help
it's a balancing act. the pegs on the intakes have to be disconnected and you have to meddle with the legs and feet to achieve a decent looking A stance.
-
If there's one that's truly woth 200+, it's the 21....and sv-51.
Just get it and be happy!
-
Mine looks like its crosshatch. What does the head of that
Screw look like for you?
EDIT:
Nevermind. You already answered that.
-
Hmm someone recently took a VF-0A Shin and basically chopped his arms and legs off to fit. And I think earlier in the ver2 of this thread it was shown that Yamato's pilots were a little too big for 1/60 scale! Are you going to sculpt your pilot or just mod him from a Yamato?
I'm going to sculpt it.
@ omega
Omg that really sucks. I think your the 1st casualty. I'm not sure about how to fix
That. I'm sure its possible.
-
you're right, looks good enough and only have one of these for awhile. My next step is a bigger pilot to match
the yamatos 1/60, which I'll make a thread for later in the kitbash forum.
-
Look's like you have successfully rescued the Gerwalk mode of the DX! Well done! Looks like it balances quite well too.
lol thanks. almost tho, there's still a matter of the heel/ankle mod, but hesitant on that because I'm afraid to lose balance

I've just gotten my VF-25F 1/60 model myself the other day in the mail. overall the model is b*tch'n - one of the BEST valkyrie model kits I ever got.
I notice the neck is short as you said. If I may ask, Negotiator, if I flip the neck up to that angle as you have illustrated, will that make the neck look better. Will the head still be able to look upwards? As well as downwords now?
these are the 1/60 toy. the model is 1/72. but if you have the toy, i think it looks better
and the head can look up and down. youll see the base of the neck will hold the position
and not flop around. hope that helps.
-
Yes those are very nice straight lasers. I'll do that if I can get one.
Although if you position the neck at an angle, you'll find that the
Pieces around it will accomidate it and lock the base of the neck in place.
I think the instructions are wrong. The head may still look stubby
Because of the size of the head, but I,ve yet to see it in that position.

Great panel lining pics! I've been waiting to see this. Did you use a gundam marker? It does make the toy look alot better. Is that a 1/72 VF-0D? It looks massive!
Edit: Wizatar's review is up!
Thank you! Yes it's a gundam marker and yes, the 0D is 1/72, nice big ol' wings.
