it's just an animation mistake.

Dammit! I just bought a 2nd yf-19 last Saturday and was just thinking to myself how much nicer it would look if the plastic was white. Miriya's photoshop is my ideal yf-19, but I think
they should work harder on a red, black, and white scheme like a hikky dyrl vf-1a/s or alto vf-25 (or even a skull leader scheme) and surprise us for an irresistible 2nd (or 3rd) dipping.
Gonna stick with the yf-21 colors It looks like a Subaru impreza and the head is too sweet.
-
Then you must get the 1/60 yf-21. It's a world of difference from the 1st and 2nd release and at least one vf-1 v.2. Similar to the 1/48 but there's some tweaks that really make it
perfect.
-
My suggestions in order:
1. 1/60 yf-21
2. 1/60 sv-51
3. 1/60 vf-1 v2
4. 1/60 yf-19
5. 1/60 vf-25 (if your a big fan of mf, bump it up to #3)
6. 1/72 vf-25 (at least one...that is if you have the time)

Really?
For all the pics I've seen with the Dragunov rifle's tines deployed, the scope was up as well.
The only times I've seen it down is when everything on the rifle is folded in.
I must not be paying attention lol
-
Oh yea I forgot to mention the sniper rifle has a telescope you
Can pull up. Most pics I've seen has had it down.

mph2501: Negotiator seems to be the expert on fiddling with the toys to find out tips to make things fit (see his VF-25G Sniper rifle fighter mode fix), he might want to try with the RVF-25 gunpod.
Why thank you, edwin. I didn't order a dx rvg though, only the 1/72 if only to satisfy my ghost needs. Let's face it, Luca didn't anything
I did try the alt neck with the armor and it still works fine as long as you keep the shoulders at a horizontal level and since the shoulder armor
is on ball joints instead of pegs, you can mess with it more to give it a nice angle.
*I think I need a new 25F, it's been so abused.
-
My 25g contribution:
Flip the sniper rifle around and attach the connector thingy.
Wedge the connector between the wrists.
You can't 'whoosh' around with it like that, but it does the job for display without mutilating anything.
Also a few layers of super glue(with the brush applicator) on the thigh armor attach points have helped it stay nice and snug.
And please, attach it when it's dry...lol

The lowest bidding factory wins for bandai's business. This factory must
Have satisfied bandai requirements but whether the factory has outsourced
Certain parts or it's within their own division, somebody is has gotten lazy
And now you have production flaws. I don't blame bandai because I'm sure
This isn't what they wanted.
Anyway for those of you that can't bend the knee w/ sp, use the OTHER knee joint
That's connected to the thigh. It's tuff to move at first, but it does move.

@ ff95gi
Your rvf actually looks pretty cool. More military like. I was never a fan of pastel green.
-
Will the legs hold though if the toy were to be put on a display stand?
Don't have a stand, but I can hold it at the intakes and the legs stay up.
------
I think most people are dissatisfied with the toy design flaws. There's plenty of things that could have been improved without
sacrificing durability. They just need to think about it a little longer. Example, the knee caps prevent a real gerwalk mode.
There should be small pegs at the very end of the back plate to connect to the end of the legs for fighter mode and not
where they have it now, which is behind the knees. The small fins should cant at an angle, they would only of needed to make that slit
a little bit wider. I could go on, but meh. I accept it for what it is.
-
There is a way to simply make the legs come up higher, like so...
Don't force the wing plate pegs to snap into the legs. This peg is what seems to prohibit the legs from going higher. If it were at a slight angle instead
of straight down, it would work better. You can still connect the legs and the wings together via the peg, but just don't push it in all the way.
The side effects are
slight gap in the knees and gun pod will touch the ground.

doesn't look like shiny plastic. hope it stays that way. thanks for the pics!
-
*stares at the quarter instead*
-
I wish those leg fixes would have made it to Michael and Luca's valks...
which is what makes that part hard to believe...
IF they retooled it that much they need to release it bundled with sp or ap to get their
customers to double dip so soon. these are hard times, even for japan.

Graham, just curious but are you transforming the G's neck the "right"
Way or the instruction's way? I can't tell with all the armor on.
-
Ya, I meant when the ankles are extended. Thanks drifand. Too bad about the thigh armor
Just poppong off
-
Great pix everyone. Now how strong are the ankle locks in sp batt mode?
-
They're all great colors but i think you cant go wrong with nora or ivanov.
if you get the cf one, you might always wonder "what if I had a main villan's' fighter".
personally i have ivanov and nora. the dark grey is cool and all but nora's has
that hot rod feel to it. (for me it does anyways).
good luck on your decision!

I get what he's saying. Even though there is a ball joint there, you're only able to spin the arm around like the old star wars figures. Of course you could move the rest of the shoulder to make it more dynamic. The 1/72 model does actually have a joint there that lets you move the arm outwards.
-
Does anyone really know how the landing gears are supposed
To come out if the armor is covering the whole shin?
-
simple solution: the armor itself can have it's own landing gears.
edit: ya beat me to it

PS: Here's my super late review of my DX Alto. I do have similar raves and rants about the VF-25 as most of the comments in this tread.
http://loopydetails.com/index.php?/Core-Ar...tom-review.html
You didn't extend the ankles out. That is why it's short.

You'd think after retooling them, they coud have just fixed the wings to mount the speakers or missiles

The head lasers are angled out the way they should be. My original alto's are angled in. Not
Sure if everyone's original angles in tho.
