    Limited Exclusives

Just chiming in on why I spend money on pieces of pretty plastic. Many figure collectors base their collections on a figure’s details, sculpt, paintjob and overall appeal. However, my passion for figure collecting stems from my love of Anime, and the intriguing stories and memorable characters that Anime offers. A figure is meant to be a real physical representation of a 2D character and it is supposed to capture the character’s essence. When I acquire a figure of a character I like, I can appreciate the significance of the figure more. I also collect to show my support for a particular series that I like. As for mecha, I would suppose that like many of the 'newer generation' of otakus, I don't appreciate the actual design nuances of mecha, but am instead more concerned with the role of the mecha in the story and their pilots.

    Bandai SD Infinite

"Has its own unique design to realize the triple mode transformation gimmick. Die-cast parts are used to provide balance to the figure."
  3. Sweet, all the stripes are painted in. (^.^) Wonder what that Mylene figure in the corner is...

Ah, I see how it transforms now... The crotch piece is hidden away inside the cockpit in Fighter mode. You can see the cockpit as the VF-25's 'rear'.
  5. I apologise, but what does this actually mean?

Is there a difference between 'Perfect Transformation' and 'Transformation Perfectly'? The words 'transform' and 'perfect' are both there. (^.^

Actually, I personally doubt that the cockpit and nose cone will be able to fit in the body of the Battoid mode either... I do recall seeing a similar SD VF-25F that had to be completely disassembled, but I do believe that one was a resin-kit thing. Hopefully, aside from the head, there will be little or no part swapping.

    Bandai SD Infinite

Here's the full ad, wonder what it says. (^.^) Actually, on the subject of the SD figures, I would really love to see a whole line of SD figures including more Macross Valks (Plus Valks Please) and perhaps other mecha like the Evangelion units. (Super Robot Wars designs perhaps?)
  9. Ah, the Ranka sticker only comes with the regular version...
  10. But the thing is: Is it Anime accurate? Even if it looks like crap, I wouldn't care if it were accurate to the show.

    Bandai SD Infinite

Oh my gosh, does this feature perfect transformation? (^.^ Looks so awesome, reminds me of the old jokemachines that I never did get a chance to own...
  12. I don't see why you wouldn't get the SP version as it is 100 yen cheaper than the regular version's MSRP over at AmiAmi with its discounts. Of course, that means that the regular version will be even cheaper still...
  13. AmiAmi has an SP Version (Sheryl Tempo Print) of the Monster up for pre-order.
  14. Me three! I'm also most looking forward to the YF-21, one of my all time favorite Valks, now in a convenient, playable form! (^.^)
  15. Evidently, a joint part to attach the gunpod is included as well.
  16. Absolutely brilliant. Aside from the Macross stuff, I personally am exceedingly excited over the Code Geass and FMP! mecha in the game. Both these series have yet to receive a decent game of their own. Hopefully the Guren SEITEN will be a playable Mecha. (^.^)
  17. From GA Graphic via Ngee Khiong - Double joint for the elbow for wider articulation of the arm. - Pull-out mechanism implemented for the pelvis joint, allowing the legs to spread wider for more stable standing. - Improved design for the ankle, allowing it to be able to touch the surface better. - Both the pelvis and ankle joint design make difficult poses like kneeling possible. - Knee joint can be turned horizontally to create beautiful poses for the legs in Gerwalk mode. - Hands can be retracted during transformation. - Landing gears are attached to the Fighter Mode via part-swapping.
  18. Wait, I just noticed two holes, on the legs, just at the bottom of the sculpted landing gear doors on the VF-19 that might look like something could possibly peg into them. If Bandai were smart enough, they could possibly use that to attach the landing gear to. It actually does look like it from the pictures. (Hope you don't mind me using your picture) The front landing gear wouldn't be a problem as it could possibly clip into the cod piece hinge.
  19. The only thing I worry about when it comes to the landing gear is that the plane will just rest on them (with the landing gear fixed to the stand), as they doesn't seem to be a way for them to attach to to the plane.
  20. Interesting that in all the above pictures, the back leg holes are left un-filled. (^.^)
  21. I highly doubt that Bandai will, but is the sculpt of the VF-25F improved in anyway?
  22. Oh yeah. Source from the ever reliable Ngee Khiong. (^.^)
  23. Indeed, with the VF-19 Kai already exceeding my expectations of a 1/100 VF-19, the VF-19S looks to be a get for me as well. One can only hope that landing gear is included (doesn't look like it) and the gunpod is attachable. Really nice touch with the leg missiles. Now I can't wait for more production pictures of the H-M YF-21! (^o^)
  24. Not sure if you guys would agree, but one of the features that I would like to see is a rewind and possibly frame skip mode when viewing the replays. Trying to get the perfect positions to take a snapshot is really hard because if you miss the moment, you'll have to restart the whole replay again.
  25. Apologies for the question, but in the final panel in the instruction manual of the VF-27, transformation to Battroid, there seems to be a mechanism that allows the crotch piece to angle out. Is this an actual mechanism or just the positioning of the legs? Which parts are supposed to detach?
