The pictures appear to be from insiders. SDCC takes place in early July, while the retail Dev is scheduled for an August release.so i'm way out of the loop...is CW devy already out or are these pictures coming from insiders etc? or is he out in china? i also saw an sdcc special version (chromed purple drum was one of the differences while on my phone the other day) which i'm not interested in but is this one of those metroplex deals where the sdcc one comes out first and then th emass release?

Seems much less likely at this point.
Edit: This is in response to an apparently deleted post.

The story I heard was it was a dispute with Cartoon Network over money.
See, I remember such a dispute being the reason Season 3 only just became available in the last year or so. But never heard it was the reason for the cancellation.
It made sense to me. Up until then, there were never more than 3 toylines on the shelves at any given time (Cybertron/Classics/Alternators and so on). But you're right, Mike. Now there doesn't seem to be a limit. We've got Mashers, MP, Year of the animals, Generations, Movie, and RID all going on at once now. That's probably an assumption, due to the fact that Animated ended around the time that Revenge of the Fallen came out. Prime toys sold alongside Dark of the Moon toys, after all, with Classics/Universe/Generations chugging along amidst all four movies, Animated, Prime, and the new Robots In Disguise.
Granted, my explanation is, too. As far as I can recall, Hasbro was just like, "yeah, it's canceled" at Botcon '09, and an official reason was never given. But given how many concurrent Transformers toylines there's been, I think it's more probable that Animated was killed simply because it was on the Cartoon Network and Hasbro was gearing up to launch The Hub with Transformers Prime.

Yes, Adventure Time is great. Although I kind of prefer Regular Show.
But anyways, I don't think it's that Animated wasn't given a chance... three seasons was actually a pretty decent run. And I don't think it was a lack of interest, or people not buying the toys, that ultimately killed it. In fact, as I recall, the debut at least was wildly successful. Plain and simple, it came down to Hasbro killing the Transformers show that was on the network they didn't have a stake in and starting over with a new show on the network that they did have a stake in. Fortunately, that show (Prime) turned out pretty good, too.
I remember reading that it had something to do with the movie toys being on the horizon.

Are we sure Deluxe Groove isn't coming here?

They're up for pre-order at Prime Toys.

The retailers think that they need to be glued in to comply with U.S. laws. However, it sounds like XTransbots is looking into providing "unofficial" instructions on how to safely removed the glued in plug without damaging the toy.
That suggests that the process won't be permanent, which is great. Maybe they'll use rubber cement or hot glue.

According to the latest Facebook page update, Apollyon's orange barrel plug is going to be glued into the barrel. This was after the review copies had them plugged in but not glued, making them easily removable. Apparently some of the retailers requested that the plugs be glued into place.
That might cause me to cancel my pre-order. What do the retailers care if the plugs are removable? Why even carry the item if the stipulation is that it be irreversibly modified from what their customers want?

Gerwalk mode?
What's that blue car in the background?

Could be all the non-matching colors that makes most combiners look like that.

I kinda wish I'd picked up the Insecticons when they were reissued a few years back.
Been a big fan of Road Rage (Reiji) since getting the e-Hobby exclusive in 2003. Including the black beam rifle with her is a smart move. Almost makes me want to double dip.

Kids always draw drill tanks on 2 d paper - or they did when I was young.
That's my theory, too. The possibilities are endless if you combine a drill tank with a good imagination. Especially if it has guns and transforms.

Now I know how Ironhide felt.

I know somebody in the UK that still has the VHS. Never saw it or even heard of it in these parts.

HLJ tells me that Star Saber is coming home. Can't wait.

it's weird when i picked up the box it had alpha bravo heli, a yellow stunticon dragstrip and two Airialbots skydive(f-16, with lightening bolts on the wings) and slingshot?
Not Slingshot. He's replaced by Alpha Bravo for now. Most likely, you saw Fireflight (now known as Firefly).

Looks like a metallic blue. Digging it.
BTW, tracks is up at HLJ. 6,000 yen.
Thanks! Love me some Tracks.

So, rumour from the Australian toy fair is that Tracks isn't MP-25. There is an as-yet unrevealed TF that is taking that slot and Tracks will follow. Hasbro Australia has directly imported the last few Takara MPs for sale at TRU and that is how they apparently know...
Make of it what you will...
Ironhide, I presume. He and Tracks were announced at the same time. Although, it's strange that pics of Tracks materialized first.

I prefer toon accuracy over toy accuracy...at least in Megatron's case.
