Thanks a lot EXO. I think I am going to order at least 4 sets. Want to see it in action before committing more...
Thanks again!
-
If we can get the whole run done, which is 25 sets we can go $15. But if we can get at least 15 sets and if people still want it it'll be $20. I'm actually gonna put myself down for 5 sets...
- What is the economic of scale to get it down to US$10?
- Can I only buy the finger-triggering right hand and the left fist? (How many of you share the same thought?)
- Is the Articulated DYRL Hands Project still in process?

The YF-19/VF-19 design was the first design that really caught my eye, but off-white, green, yellow, and orange together? No thanks, you can have it! I prefer the white, gray, yellow and teal!
The VF-19P is the first design that caught me off guard.
The red laser makes it look so punk. This is not a compliment.

I am usually easily impressed... But this color scheme is... Meh. The head doesn't help either.
Just my personal opinion.
As a side note, I do not very well understand why they gave Basara a new valk to fly, but the new valk is so much alike to the old valk (both are VF-19). This valk does not boost Basara's singing either.

Ah, I didn't think it was even a concern in battroid mode. It's not something I worry about, even on the version 1.
I remember I've read reports on such breakage on the wing hinges... On MW or some other boards...
-
Yes, it's the B mode I am concerning. It really looks great. I spent a couple of minutes admiring it several times already today.
-
As the case for version 1 Armor Packs, the back boosters are quite heavy and stress on the backplate hinge. I am worrying it may crack and break if I display that way after a couple of years or even months. Any tips to share? Thanks guys.
-
Holy crap that is an awesome picture. Do you have one with the all 3 in fighter mode?
Thanks! Sorry that I don't have them in fighter mode yet... Decided to keep them as a battroid squad at the meanwhile.
Bad lighting... Wrong background color... Anyhow... Just want to say they fit very well.

Kind of OT:
-
Wow. The guy has hands so big.
From Macross Mecha Manual:
VF-0: 18.69m
VF-1: 14.23m
VF-4: 16.8m
YF-19: 18.62m
VF-25: 18.72m
VF-4 is indeed on the smaller side.

Darn! I thought they meant a VF-1A HQ and a VF-1D CF but it said "sample painting" for the assembly kit.
-
Damn, give me the Phalanx, Spartan and VF-0 Reactive Armor (possibly a v2 VF-0 then) first!
-
I will preorder one. I thought about getting an extra, but decided that I will hold and wait for the Hikaru custom.
Will too get a second unit if the price drops after release. Not that I want that happen though; I want this release a success too.
-
It looks so big... The wingspan is almost equal to the man's hand-to-elbow in length...
-
Damn, they typed VF instead of YF again, and so I was unable to search it...
-
The perfect soluton is to include both the original version and the edited version (if it is not just re-mastered).
I remember there were the Star Wars Trilogy DVDs released with the theature versions included. Only if they have a blu-ray version...

Some experiences/ findings:
1. Yes Asia confirmed my order on Monday and cancelled my order on Tuesday. Reason: cannot source the product.
1a. When I check their product page today, it says: "The price is to be determined".
2. Otacute opened the preorder yesterday (or was it Tuesday?). The product page is now removed. I wonder what about the placed orders...

This thread is full of sour grapes.
I am always a minute or two behind!!!!!!
-
I hope that is a surprise for me before the end of the year.

A version 2 VF-0S would be good.
1. VF-0D;
2. Reactive Armor.
Regarding to the "Is it maximum profit for Bandai to produce limited DX?" discussion, my view is negative.
Given the overhead costs in tooling and etc, it makes the most sense to produce as many units as the market can digest.
There is a purpose to generate the "I want it" hype, and the purpose is to sell more units. Unless the Bandai management takes that "those losers can't get one" laugh as year-end bonus.
-
well, lol the place I pre-ordered from just canceled their orders of the skull 29.
Gettin a refund, waiting for the confirmation.
Thats it I'm out lol bandai, u bunch of wankers.
Did you order from Yes Asia? I've just got their confirmation yesterday morning, and then got their cancellation today.

VF-25F has sold OK (it had LOTS of stocks on day 1 so the price didn't go up quickly. But the market managed to digest all of them); it is now US$400+ on NY. Crazy prices on Yahoo JP auction.
Similar cases for VF-25S and YF-29.
VF-171EX has actually sufficient stocks to last as of yet.
So personally my feeling is that Bandai actually has sufficient stocks; but some people (non-end users) in between just hold on to them to sell them at an inflated price. At least that is what happened for VF-171EX.

Question, how likely it that existing series already on BD will also get boxset rereleases in the future?
e.g. Frontier, Zero?
If there is going to be an anniversary set for MF with goodies, I will collect one set.
P.S. I was too late in the game that I missed the MF bluray limited first editions.
Macross Zero Valks - any chance for 30th re-releases?

Me! Me! I wait! I wait!
I hope we're talking about Reactive Armored VF-0S and VF-0D, not just re-issues.
