  1. Hmm.....I don't know if I'm jaded....but it kinda looks like a 'Hey!! - 10 to 20 year olds. We KNOW you grew up in a time where Macross was 2nd or 3rd fiddle to Gundam and Evangelion.....let us show you some of it's history!!!' Which - if I did not already have Perfect Memory, the Gold Book, The TIA Specials, the 6 volume Anime Collection, the Flash Back 2012 MOOK, both Modeling Manuals, the Encyclopedias, etc etc etc......this MIGHT be cool but looks like 90% of it will be re-hash? Might keep a watch on it though - they could get to cool Zero or Frontier stuff as the publish. Fred
  2. Can anyone point to pictures of the full kit? Built or unbuilt? Thanks!
  3. From SDSFM - Episode 18 - VF's vs Q'd Rau's. Max - Millia in the city. Episode 31 - Even into DYRL that has the most jaw dropping footage of a VF transforming I'd seen until Macross Plus and Zero.
  4. VF-27 Shoji? Bout time he tagged one?
  5. When IMAI and ARII went into deep financial trouble in the mid 80's after the Mecha Craze in Japan fell off and they were strung out on debt thinking the next 5 shows after Macross were going to sell as MUCH as Macross - Bandai bought the molds at a bank auction. That's why Bandai did a TINY run of Macross Branded kits for the 1984 movie in late 85-86, they had just got the molds. For whatever reason IMAI had to sell ALL of theirs - but ARII got to keep the 1/100 Valks and 1/100 Destroids ( they were all 300yen kits back in the day - may have had something to do with it.) Thats why those ARII kits never went away, ARII would re-issue them at the drop of a hat. What happened to the other ones - ALL those DELICIOUS Macross kits? Bodolza only knows. MOST LIKELY some suit at Bandai decided these were the BEST kits to re-issue in 1992 ( their first group package ) and no one has challanged that decision ever sence. The molds are most likely sitting in some warehouse next to the Ark of the Covenant. ( Maybe thats what Indy is doing in the new trailer - rescuing our Macross kits!! ) The only real change in the line up from 1992 was in 1997 some of the 15th anniversary kits where chromed. Same batch released in 2002 - now again in 2008. Sad really, what I'd give for $30.00 1/160 Destroid Monster or 1/72 Glaugs......or $20.00 1/100 Battle Pods... Sucks really......found most of this out back in the day from my friends at the old TCI - we used to be one of their biggest customers in Michigan. Sigh......those were the days.... Fred
  6. Not wanting to wade through all 1500 posts - could someone give a clue on the meaning of this 'retcon' term? Thanks!
  7. Hello All. I know this is a MACROSS thread - but I can't seem to find the old Garland thread. Is there any word on a secon run of Garlands fixing the old problems? Are there cue's I can use to ask a seller what version it is? Replies or PM's appreciated!! Thanks, Fred
  8. Truely outstanding - thanks!
  9. Hello. How many of you have put either the standard color GBP armor on the Camo 1/48 VF-1, or perhaps the standard DYRL Fast Packs? Just looking for color previews. Have a standard GBP un-opened and a camo VF-1A on the way. Thanks for any pics in advance, Fred
  10. My god - that is fantastic. Airbrush? Any modeling tips for that finish?
  11. (3) Invid Scout - Put the two little guns on the upper hull and it becomes an Armored Scout. **Sigh** - Cue the RT H8er's...........

  13. Hello! If anyone has one of the ROUND base stands - could they measure it's Diameter for me? I play some Warhammer 40K and these look like GREAT flying bases. Thanks!
  14. Given what I've seen of the line - 1:100 would fit their shelf boxes.
