Anywhere I can find yamato vf-1 shoulder hinge replacements?

I saw some company shapeways used to sell these but no longer in business. Is there anywhere I can get these anymore?   My old yamatos are having broken shoulder hinge problems 😢

Last time I had something 3d printed (several years ago) I just googled for 3d printing services in my country/state/city etc.

Would anyone know if 3d printing the stl file in metal is ideal?  Or would it just not work with the way the part is designed?

My shapeways plastic shoulders are still fine after 10+ years.  Heavier metal replacement could stress the connecting plastic part or sag in gerwalk/battroid positions due to weight.

edit: metal would also require more precise sizing for the metal rod.

Go to this subreddit r/3Dprintmything and post a request to get your shoulder hinge replaced. I did this five months ago over the Summer and got a reply almost instantly from several people near me that was willing to print and mail me the shoulders I needed. Depending on your location, the price can vary, but I was quoted anywhere from $8 to $12 and that included shipping. I recommend choosing 2-3 different people to make you a pair of shoulders as you can't tell the quality of the printed shoulder until you received them and just choose the one that looks best to you.
