Either these kits aren't to scale or the GP01 is smaller than I thought or the YF-32 is bigger than I thought. Here it is next to my 1/144 Mirage and 1/144 GP01fb... fulcy Posted January 19, 2004 Share Posted January 19, 2004 (edited) Well, it's pretty simple enough: YF-23 Length - 67 feet GP01FB Height - 64 feet Mirage Height - 50 to 55 feet All these numbers are readily available on the net - the hardest to find was the Mirage's height, and that's listed at 15.2 meters to the shoulder, so add about 2 meters onto that for total height, and you get around 55 feet. Now, converting to inches, and then dividing by 144 will give you the height and length that your models should be at: YF-23 Length - 5.58 inches GP01FB Height - 5.33 inches Mirage Height - 4.58 inches I can't really tell from the poses you have these guys in which one is truly bigger, but based on the numbers, it seems like they should all be about the same size... The FSS LED Mirage, however, is a slightly trickier subject. <_< Nagano officially stated the height of the LED at 15.2m at the shoulder, but he's been known to change designs and information within the storyline to suit his needs. Garage kit companies have had WILDLY different dimensions/sizes for the LED Mirage. The 1988 Kaiyodo 1/100 vinyl led mirage kit stood about 19cm tall, whereas the 2002 Led Mirage by Volks is just about 31cm tall. Same machine, waaaay different dimensions.
