The 1/76 vinyl figures gift sets came with a couple different valks (IIRC, Hikaru's VF-1J and Max's VF-1J, maybe some others, I can't recall), but the 1/55 gift set only came with a VF-1S.

They did, however, make a giftset with the vf-1j but it was a non transformable valkyrie and it was smaller in size too.

It felt like plastic. I had one and was less than impressed with it. The only cool feature was the head would flip foward and the pilot seat could be raised out of the neck. Wouldn't stand up worth a damn. I returned it to ebay from which it came. It was a 1j. I've got pics of it, boxed 1/76, and the 1/55 if you need them.
