Takaken's VF-11B Thunderbolt with Superpack 3D Model

Hi guys. I've been lurking around this forum for a while but I guess it's a pretty good time to make my appearance. I'm sure some of you still remember Takaken from a decade ago and that he shared his VF-11B and YF-19 models on his website as well, after which someone stole his models and uploaded it on a certain famous website selling 3d models to make some quick cash. Long story short, I found his VF-11b 3d model in one of my old backup cd and I thought it would be useful to some of you here. The 3d models were originally in lightwave format but I had it converted into 3ds a long time ago. It's untextured and you'd probably have to fix some face issues but it's pretty much intact. It's fully transformable but the joints are not rigged/parented so you'll have to figure it out on your own. Here are some quick renders to give you an idea how it looks like and you can find the download links below in both .max and .3ds format. Bear in mind that these models are not that detailed as they were made a decade ago but I'm sure some of you would find it useful for your animation etc. Again, these models belong to Takaken, not the dude who stole it. I wish I still had the YF-19 but like everyone else who had Takaken's models, I lost them in a hard disk crash long ago but who knows, maybe I'd stumble upon them again. So till next time, merry christmas folks!

I have his vf-19. I spoke with him personally about what happened and he was saddened. That's why he stopped making them. I spoke with the website in question and they explained that he will have to file a protest. Because of the language barrier, he just didn't want to. I told the guy who posted them what to do with his nuts. You can draw your own conclusion. I'll post the VF-19 soon.

Glad to see that the vf-19 survived somehow. Do you still keep in touch with Takaken? He kinda disappeared after his site went offline.

if you mean Takaken (was that the name?) I have at least one of those shorts someplace still. I'll see if I can figure out what I've done with that.

Yes, Takaken, sorry. The original has no sound/or no sound FX, I believe. Can you upload it, if possible.

You guys rock!... I've downloaded this two masterpieces back in 2001... sadly, I lost'em in some backup or something... I love 3d art but I don't have what it takes to model. I remember I mailed Takaken a couple of times, he reply very kindly every time and then told me about this stupid thievery. Turbo Squid was the site... The models are still there! 90 bucks or something... really sad. Generally, 3d artist DO NOT share they work... only videos and jpg's but never the source files (wich I totally agree of course, is they propierty). Takaken did and well... sadly, you see what happens. Thanks again for sharing this! Brings memorys!...

Oh wow. I saw that VF-19 on Turbosquid years ago, and thought it was pretty great. I can't believe that it was his, and pilfered for profit, no less! Turbosquid has a pretty bad rep. Not only are users uploading stuff they don't own, apparently, but they also pay the authors (or burglars) a fraction of what some of the other sites pay.
