Random-Demandom Posted August 12, 2011 Share Posted August 12, 2011 Hey guys and gals, I am going to model a 3d version of a WWII plane macross style. its a what if the macross crashed during WWII. so I am looking for artwork or concept people have done to help get ideas. frothymug Posted August 13, 2011 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Interesting that you bring this up because I had my brother sketch out a variable Supermarine Spitfire about a week ago. I wanted to see how it looked for a possible story in the future... We may work on that design some more this weekend. The problem is you'll have to deal with the single tail. It's difficult to turn those kinds of designs into battroids with legs, but it's been done before. You just have to be kinda creative. Not sure where they were going but it's probably scoping out the lie of the land for the Goodwood Revival a big vintage car festival we have coming up next month just up the road from me. Double points to as it's the technical namesake of the VF-4. There's also the P-61 Black Widow and the Twin Mustang, both lesser known designs. Personally, I'd love to see some bomber designs or WWII styling on Macross Valks (actual nose art and markings instead of those full body monstrosities).
