I started this mod in 2009 for sins of a solar empire then took a break, getting back into things in early june 2010. Since then Ive made massive progress, and assembled a crack team of awesomeness. Unlike many other anime mods out there, we know how do do everything thats needed for this mod and have plenty of manpower.Moddb profile www.moddb.com/mods/vermillion-sector - You could call VS a legacy mod, meaning it has the best from many anime space scifi shows. From Starblazers to Cowboy Bebop, the best will be in this mod. I though I would post this here has the UM Space Force and Dominion of Ishitar have many UN Spacey, Zentradi and meltran ships in their race. Im also wondering if anyone knows where I can get any anime ship models in .obj format under 30k polys? Im also willing to share what we already have, check our moddb pofile for our current roster of ships. I have a dedicated team to model, but finding premades gets us that much closer to our beta release (Q2 2011). Also if anyone has any suggestions or questions Ill be hear ready to reply. Battle 7, i guess i did some minor updates, but i don't know where are the files here... No idea how much is the poly count. There is also the VF-11, i don't know were it is, i think if you look through the macross generations thread you can find my model. Also the Ghost X-9, don't know where you can find ¬¬ There is the monster MK-II, don't know where it is too... I will see if i can find them, i will post later if i do. I also noticed your Great Yamato and nearly teared up when I saw the dl link was dead lol. The thing is, we have no problem modeling these ships ourselves, it just saves us a rather large amount of time if we can find them premade so thank you for letting VS use your models. Btw, you dont by chance still model do you? And yes you can definitely compare VS to Another Century. Funnily enough I havnt yet had the chance to play that game, looks good tho. Also dose anyone know what happened to that Space War One mod? They had so many awesome models, would be a crime if they have gotten lost with the wind. Yes indeed I have several fans of Tenchi on my team and we all agree that the various starships seen though out the Tenchi depictions deserve their own faction. They will be a combination of Jurai and the Galactic Police. Furthermore, they will also have several Imperial ships from the Legend of the Galactic Heroes to bulk out the faction. I'm more curious as to who they're using as a face for the Dominion of Ishtar up there... it's clearly a Mamoru Nagano design, maybe Mecorr Litra from Five Star Stories? Yeah its the girl from FSS. Originally I was going to use Kyrian but remembered Ishtar when watching FSS for some reason and felt that image of Mecorr had a greater presence then Kyrian.
