RedWolf Posted October 27, 2008 Share Posted October 27, 2008 Tytania (Taitania) is a Japanese novel series written by Yoshiki Tanaka that has not been concluded yet, with the latest volume being released in 1991. It has been adapted into an animated television series directed by Noboru Ishiguro.[1] It premiered on NHK's BS-2 satellite channel on October 9, 2008. The series is a space opera based on a series of three books written by Tanaka between 1988 and 1991 about people who try to liberate the galaxy from the rule of the Tytania-clan and seek refuge with a rebel force. Plot After venturing into outer space, humanity has built many planetary cities. Most of these cities were affiliated to the Interstellar Federation, and it became the biggest force in the galaxy. Therefore, people believed that the Age of the Federation would last long. However, the situation changes when a clan called "Tytania" secedes from the Federation and receives the title of Lord from the Emperor of Vardhana. Tytania obtains a victory over the Federation, and they assert that the Empire cannot exist without them. Tytania puts most of the Federal Territories under its control, and they hold hegemony in the galaxy. Meanwhile, a war begins between Euria and Tytania over their respective rights and interest. From that moment on, the galaxy enters into a tempestuous period. Okay after watching three episodes I'm hooked. The OP has the 5 lords of the Tytania clan, in opera-esque music. Tytania clan which resembles the Shogunate as the military force/government of the empire. While the emperor is figurehead who despite loving his people could not stand up to the Tytania clan. The ED is rock with the heroic protagonist. Nobody has ever beaten Tytania in two centuries. Therefore a nobody by the name by Fan Hyulic defeated a fleet of Tytania. He's not a hot blood or idealistic guy but a bum. A civilian bum that was given military command of his home planet's fleet to lose against the most powerful military force in the galaxy. But nobody told him that. Now everybody thinks he's a genius and a hero. After he got fired from his job as fleet admiral and exiled from his planet. Bummer. Tytania is powerful but decadent. Each of the 4 lords are vying for clan leadership. Everybody hates Tytania but they can't exactly say that because they can't win against them. Will Fan Hyulic unemployed bum hero save the galaxy?
