Down the Rabbit hole we go
Any suggestions on how to stiffin the joints?? I thought of just vrarnishing the inside of the joint, wait till it dries, and repeat it... So any ideas, please send...
Mechamaniac
Along those lines, someone had mentioned here before about doing the same thing but using clear nail polish to add thickness to the joints.
kensei
Nail polish has acetone, which is an organic solvent that melts plastic. I wouldn't recommend doing it many times. It doesn't add thickness at all. Use wood glue. It dries clear and can be removed in one piece. If you want to give it a good clean then soak the part in water. It creates this clear film when dry, and adds more friction in the joint to keep it stiff.
Fly4victory
I stuffed waxed dental floss in the arm joints with a toothpick. Not very technical and does not stand up to much use but you do not need to open the joints.
kensei
That's the weirdest fix I've heard yet. I stick by my fix though, I tried it and it works with most figures, as illustrated by Danny Choo: http://www.dannychoo.com/blogg_post/eng/422/
