But before I go experimenting, have anyone open up the heads before? How to go about doing it? Kindly show me how if possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys. Mechamaniac Posted March 28, 2005 Share Posted March 28, 2005 If I were you, I would take the stock heads off, and put them in storage. Get yourself a Rohby recast of the 1S, they are perfect. You can probably snag a loose J or A head from someone here in the forums, just put a Wanted post out. I have seen all of these heads disassembled, and all of them are glued at various places, and screwed in others. You also would have to modify the eyepieces to accomodate the LED's. Hikaru VF-1A for a start. Now, a really cool project that I have been meaning to get to would be to add some LED's or perhaps even a mini laser pointer into the barrels of the 1/48 strike cannon!.
