I'm alittle bit confused because shin and edgar in Volume 2 or 3 are using what looks suspiciously like Israeli Tavors. But in Volume 3 the female marine (forgot her name) as the helicopter airlifts them from the mayan island was given what appears to be a the french FAMAS assault rifle. So which is it? which is the standard issue assault rifle? Also did anyone notice that as shin and edgar are dunked into the water, Roy is actually catching his gunpod in the background, which he apparently threw into the air as he was about to grab shin's VF-0D's gun pod arm and dunked him in the water. use super slow mo!!!!!! to see it!!!! HWR MKII Posted March 28, 2005 Share Posted March 28, 2005 Considering that the military in Macross 0 is United Nations (UN) the weapons you see are representative of the countries giving supplies to the operations at hand. Also the whole series was mainly a secret black ops event to me so only a select few and whatever weapons they have available would be used. valkyrietestpilot Posted March 28, 2005 Share Posted March 28, 2005 (edited) yes,the whole series was mostly "black ops".in this case most operates have a choice to carry whatever they want into combat.doesn't always have to be the same thing either,mission stats can warrant choosing another kind of weapon.in vietnam,our special forces carried AK-47's alot for their ruggedness & the ability to blend in with enemy fire to aid in causing confusion.
