DARTHTODD
Hey, I was thinking of buying this model, is it fairly accurate? Not that it needs to be exact when compared to the anime, but if it's close, that's good enough for me. Anyway, any feedback would be appreciatted. Thanks! hellohikaru
ahh...MiG-29....I am sure the one in M0 is a MiG-29 Fulcrum A version. The Hase kit looks a repackaged version of the Fanborough airshow bird that appeared in the early 90s. Dave Hintgen should now about overall kit accuracy but i think it is the correct version with the correct payload. David Hingtgen
I'm not big on *any* MiG and can't comment off the top of my head. If nobody here is a MiG-29 buff, I'll go find my WAPJ "MiG-29 variants" issue and see what I can find out.
hellohikaru
oh oh...i remember the Hasegawa kit being issued in 1987 is rather underscaled!
Macross_Fanboy
Yes, it is an A version. I built the same 1/72 MiG-29A except with Soviet decals, and it was underscale when I compared it to my Italiaeri 1/72 MiG-29.
DARTHTODD
In general though, does this kit look good? Are there receased panel lines, good detail, etc.?
Macross_Fanboy
Yeah, if you screw up on it before putting in the decals you can always buy another MiG-29A Fulcrum or you can get the German version, the MiG-29 Sniper. Make sure they're Hasegawa though! The Hasegawa MiG-29 that I built looks nice even though I can't put much detail into it because I don't airbrush and I can't find the paints I need to make it look really nice sometimes. And I'm still a newbie at model building, I have shaky hands because I crack my knuckles too much so it makes it hard for me to build. Damn English papers... <_ Edited September 26, 2003 by Macross_Fanboy
