Never seen these works, but I really want to read Alice 12 now, just to see what possible use a 747 like that could serve.

Imagine, maybe it's a super-interceptor filled with hundreds of AMRAAMs!

I dunno thazt would suck, it would be like an oversized F-6D missleer. I LOVE shintani's work. Styalized simply yet very effective and he's a jet fan too. NOTHIN wrong with that!!

ACtually in the 80's there was a concept for using converted 747s as long range cruise missile carrying bombers. They would have had multiple rotary racks filled with cruise missiles, interesting concept but was eventually rejected. I should have a picture somewhere of the concept model.

From the pictures you see what appears to be a classic series flight deck but it has the extended upper deck of the 300 and winglets of the -400. And it has no windows. Doesn't really amount to anything. Perhaps it is a plane for smuggling goods like Yamato Valks.

Yeah, that's what gave me the idea, but that wouldn't make a very interesting manga series. So it's gotta be some kinda air combat thing!
