I don't recommend splitting the head but if you really have to you have to use a glue dissolver like Goo Gone and an exacto knife... with plenty of patience. I saw you ordered a recast which is what I was gonna tell you to do, but I understand if you want to use the original... like I said... goo gone maybe the way to go. The recast antennas are just as fragile as the original. I've never broken one off, but I can see how easy it is to. So you gotta be careful either way.
