  1. I've pre-ordered 12 units, not sure how many I am going to get.

I am keeping 2 and Macrossfan00 is getting 1. Any left over will be offered here first (at compariable non-ebay prices), then Franks and eBay.

  2. Personally, I don't know why, other Macross sequels from Mac II, Mac Plus, Mac 7, Mac 0, Mac F .... none can touched my heart & string my sentimental heartache as that of Flashback 2012.

Watching Flashback 2012 is a haunting beauty to me that goes beyond words ... for me, it is perfect ode to the songstress Minmay, a fitting finale for both SDFM & DYRL.

Sure its had warts, but .... it is a better conclusion to the SDFM & DYRL characters that we so loved.

Flashback 2012 is more of an ending credit for DYRL. With the same team that did DYRL, that's why it's striking a cord with us old SDFM/DYRL fan base.

The other true sequels are produced by different people.

  3. Same thing happened with me with YesAsia.com and ToysnJoys.com.. Ordered Bandai Origin of Valkyrie VF-1S and VF-1J from both these vendors and they could not not procure these toys. I ordered these back in December of 2011 and still nothing here in Feb or 2012. I Cancelled the orders and am awaiting my refunds. I asked them why the hell they would even advertise something they CLEARLY do NOT have in stock.....

ToysnJoys is well known by Pokemon collectors for their horrible inventory accuracy. The same item is listed online and sold in their store, and they never bothered updating their online quantity to reflect sales in the store.

YesAsia.com is like many Rakuten store, a portion of items listed online aren't stock items, but are quantity that are "supposedly" to be available from their supplier.

  4. Thought I'd drop in and just rant about some recent transactions... I've been on the hunt for a Super Hikaru VF-1J recently, and placed two orders with online sellers (once on Sears.com and once through Newegg.com). Both listed the valk as IN STOCK, yet shortly after placing my order, I find out neither seller had the valk in stock, my account had already been debited, and despite getting a "refund", I have to sit for at least a week now because f*cking Paypal has to wait to receive the money from my bank before I can get the funds back. Add on top of that time frame the amount of time it takes for the funds to go back to my bank FROM paypal, and that's almost 2 weeks that I have to deal with having almost $400 less in my account, all because a*shole stores falsely advert stuff as being in stock. So, in short, I'd like to officially blacklist lame sellers who don't update their sh*t, and Paypal for playing the refund okie doke with my money.

EDIT: 5 total attempts to buy the VF-1J now from online retailers listing it as "In Stock"... 5 total cancellations and refunds due to the item being out of stock. I'm now waiting on close to $600 in refunds through paypal. F*CK THIS SH*T!!! argh.

They are likely to be the same seller, just selling the not-in-stock item through different venues.

The same seller is probably selling the same thing on buy.com, amazon and ebay as well.

  5. The boxes are kind of dented during shipping. Otherwise they are NIB.

    SoCal local pick ups preferred.

    VF-19 KAI is $260. (pending)

    VF-17 is $285. SOLD!

They are cheaper than HLJ price before shipping (when calculated using real world exchange rate, not HLJ bullshit screen rates).

And from my personal experience, HLJ are not responsible for box damages either.

  6. I wish I could hear this song live. :(

Also, in the scene where megaroad is taking off, is that suppose to be another Minmay walking by the crowd on the ground (as well as leaning on the handrail watching the ship leave?)

I always thought that was symbolizing Minmay leaving a part of herself behind (the selfish immature part, or the part that's still in love with Hikaru).
