  1. What's the best way to cut these stickers out? Especially the circle stickers. I bought a valkyrie that already had these stickers applied and the cuting around the edges was pretty rough.

Just use a sharp exacto knife to cut around them. It's really pretty easy.

  2. Babel Fish translates about of the color thing

As for basic color of the D fender as expected being what kind of color? There was a source of trouble unexpectedly even here. Picture of televising that time, color setting data, box picture of related commodity of that time, turn declaration illustration…It means that all color tastes are different! In the picture which photographed the prototype coloring with image processing, while examining various types, while imitating to the setting picture, you do not break the atmosphere of the tank, “it is close to yellow, but it kept searching the color which also redness had”.

Babel Fish translates about of the pilot thing

In addition, it is thought as not yet appearance in the play, as a accessory “the magazine of long it was popular type” and, even with the tomahawk, in setting the “service soldier figure”. Not only the service soldier, if “you mention the D fender,…”The “patrol soldier” choice is done with feeling. When being able to let stand in the foot, contrastive figure that way composition in the setting picture actualizes. Furthermore it is detailed thing, but also the pilot figure has recreated going around more largely than the tomahawk. This time it is the result also size of the cockpit and the pilot boiling down securely vis-a-vis in regard to circumstances of the space the pilot becoming a little small at the time of the tomahawk.

    Lobi ;)

If you can point me to the Japanese text I can probably translate it.

  3. Paint looks good optimator! Hopefully it won't scratch off. I've heard mixed reviews about the Krylon stuff sticking.

After painting, 2 or 3 parts had lots of i guess what you would call micro cracks in the paint. But that was for both the Krylon and the testors. Not sure what the problem was. I just washed the parts off in pinesol and repainted them. No problems the second time around.

  4. I have multiple examples of modded feet in my gallery. They really make a difference.

I checked out your examples but I couldn't tell exactly what you had done to the feet, although something was definitely different about the "Dream Catchers" ones. Could you explain what you did?

Awesome looking chunkies by the way

  5. I'm in need of just the 2 stickers of the UN SPACY kites for 1/60 size fast packs. They are the perfect size for a custom chunkie I am working on.

Anyone out there who used the skulls for their new 1/60 fast packs and don't need the kites??

  6. If its a hasegawa then you should have some decals for it. Otherwise just paint your base coat and then use slightly thined black and drop it into the receses and then wipe off the excess. I find using an oil paint over and acrylic base paint is better as you can wipe it away with a cotton swap soaked in white spirit or turpanoid etc, it wont attack teh acrylic. the reverse will also work but you have to use water or acrylic thinners

Thanks, I didn't think of that. So it's like doing a wash.

  7. I've circled the the area I'm not sure how to paint. Do I just paint over it in the base color and then go back and fill in the black parts carefully? There are a bunch of these on the Valk so I thought I'd ask the experts before screwing it up.

    Thanks

  8. The UUM-7 marking goes centered on the side of the "container" the UUM-7 missiles are in. RMS-1 goes just above the stripe on the side, but aft of center. I've never seen/heard of a "Micro Missile Unit" marking on a VF-1.

Here's a scan from the Hasegawa weapons set:

Thanks, something like that is what I was looking for. The Japanese says that the "container" is the " Micro Missile Pod", so I'm guessing the stickers go somewhere on there. Just not exactly sure on location. You can see them (small red color) in the pic in the first post.

  9. I've finally gotten around to stickering up my first 1/48. It's a VF-1S Roy/Strike and the Takatoys stickers I've applied look fantastic. However, there are a number of stickers that I have no idea where they go. In particular the "UUM-7,RMS-1, and Micro Missle Unit" stickers from the strike sticker sheet. I've searched through all the photos on this site and can't find them on anyones valks. Are these just extras to stick on on a whim? Any help, guides, or pics, would be greatly appreciated.

  10. This might be obvious to everyone else, but I have to ask. What is an igloo, and why do you fill it with hot tap water??

Looks really nice! For painting simple schemes like that I use a cheap-o single action brush from harborfreight tools, OR I put a cheap can of flat finish paint in an igloo filled with hot tapwater, shake it for a few minutes and spray using a hot can. After its really dry, I rub the painted surfaces with a clean shop rag to buff it a little. Gives it a really cool look. :)

Edit: I shake the can, not the igloo cooler!

  11. I love customizing valks, but I'm to scared to take my Yammies apart, much less paint them. Thats why I do Jetfires. You can get old yellowed ones off of ebay for a decent price ($20-30). It's too bad the Chunkies are so hard to pose. Does anyone know if there has been a Chunkie pose thread??
