Found this too late. Please add me to the waiting list as well!

im so bitter i missed the glory days.
Me as well. So the best thing is to contribute now. Nice chunky!
BTW technically, shouldn't this thread be under the customizing/modding category?

Put some of that money in the bank son

How did I find this thread only a day late...

Thanks. I only got to see the first 10 minutes, but it looked interesting.
i need to invest in a DVR for my TV

well that went fast... Damn

These look great. I'm in for 2!
-
I bet it would look sick on the VF-X...
-
VF-1D, with strike parts.

Are you referring to the Stylus Pro WT7900?
That thing retails for $8,495?!
Or is there a cheaper model? I hope...
-
I just saw that Banpresto in Akiba last weekend. It was going for about 600 yen.
It didn't look the greatest, but you cant really beat a 600 yen transformable valk with fastpacks
Would love to see some pics of it out of the box. I've thought about picking one myself for some cheap custom fun.

Sign me up as well.
I've always regretted missing out on the 1/48 version.

Minmay Guard Decals 1/60 and 1/48. Moon Act
-
I love everything about this, except the giant Minmay decal. I think the colors and design otherwise look great.
-
It might look a lot better by a bit of "dirtying up" - like applying some Pro-Modellers wash or Tamiya weathering.
Just a thought.
I hope you're right. Because right now it looks like a blue plastic turd
-
While I have absolutely no clue what the OP is talking about, nice looking valk!

For the 1/48, the only things to really improve would be to give it the double elbow joints from the v2 1/60, arms that don't go below the legs in fighter mode, pegs for the hands to clip the gun on better, bigger hands, slimmer legs, a more durable BP-8, the simpler FAST pack booster connection, et al. Yet why pay more for that when you can get all of that on the V2 1/60 version? I think chances are higher that Yamato designs an all new fuselage component with a longer nose that's collapsible in battroid mode for the v2 1/60. This eliminates the priest collar, and gives it the long nose that the 1/48 has in fighter mode. Being that the front fuselage component is removable to begin with, the idea isn't too far fetched.
Those are the only things to improve??I think you just named everything that a new 1/48 could be. Sounds ok to me.

Whats wrong with you people?!?! V2 1/48 valks would be nothing but asskicking awesomeness!

Wow, you guys are awesome. I love seeing what everyone is doing, and am feeling inspired.
I'd never done a model (not counting an SD Gundam 15 years ago) but I saw this kotobukiya kit on sale for 200 yen at Yodobashi and couldn't pass it up. Now I'm hooked, and just got a cheap HG Zaku to practice up on before I butcher a Hasegawa Valk. I'm fighting the urge to buy box after box of models that I'll never put together, and just go one at a time (>_<)

I hadn't seen much discussion on this kit. I just ordered mine online from Family Mart, and was wondering if anyone had been able to pick one up early. It's a little pricy but will come with a ticket to the new movie.
This is my first frontier model, and the pics I've seen look great. Especially the new head. That was the one area I didn't really care for on the VF-25, too bug like for me. The YF-25's head almost reminds me of the ship out of fantasy zone.
