Yeah, I kept getting this too. Then I realized that I already had one in my cart. But by the time I realized it, it was already gone. At least I got to see the pre-order button this time around. Best effort I got so far from Amiami. 

Still up at HLJ? I guess they have the worst price so far.

Present! The pre-order madness never fails to stir up my adrenaline glands. 

Well, here’s hoping that there will be enough pre-orders for Delta 01 tomorrow for everyone who wants one. This is the one valk that I truly want from Delta since the beginning. I had only intended to get one VF-31 too. Here I am though, with four 31 DX releases going on my fifth with Arad’s custom, now wanting to complete the whole platoon. It’s a great time to be a Macross fan!

Hehe, at least you get to see the add to cart button. In Amiami, I never even got to see it. Its always pre-orders closed almost immediately after the preorders open. No amount of F5 pressing got me anything from them. 

That’s actually not a bad price. I haven’t ordered from Hobby Search before though. Always get my valks from NY, HLJ or Amiami, though I’ve never been able to score a pre-order valk from Amiami ever. They literally get snapped up in seconds there. 

March 1 marked on my calendar! Do preorders still open at 4 pm Japan time?

These are the money shots right here! So the tornado cannons are attached to the end of a container pod and can be deployed during fighter mode. They essentially fold forward to have the cannons face forward. 

I’m surprised Chuck got into the armored action as well. I’ll still be getting him the regular super packs and keep his radome when his DX comes out. Arad’s will be the only Delta Valk with armor packs in my collection.

Circled part is the gun barrel. Also, the middle connector doesn't have that yellow circle facing forward in F mode. So we can assume that the whole turret rotates 180 when it's in "deployed mode" like the G mode picture.

Yeah, I agree. It seems the turret is rotated backwards in fighter mode. At least they made it so it doesn’t cover the skull emblem, which was a peeve of mine in the armored 25. Come to think of it, I remember putting that on my wishlist for the armored 31. Hehe! 

What I’m interested in is what they put in place of the container pod. Looking at the pics, it seems the Tornado turret is attached onto the connector where the pod should be, although its attached from above instead of from below. If there’s nothing taking up the space of the pod, that’s going to look hollow in fighter mode, not to mention the stress it will cause the connector in the toy version having that huge tornado turret on it.

EDIT: I think I got it. It looks like they deliberately took out the pod to make room for the thicker armored legs. Doesn’t solve the stress on the connector though. 

Whoa! Arad's Armored 31 is obviously Kawamori-san's fan-service for the Stampede Valkyrie. 

I read in the Macross Delta Movie thread though that the armored valk had very little actual screen time in the movie?

Nevertheless, I'm joining the "stampede" for Arad's valk and armor parts when the pre-orders open. 

Any news on when the pre-orders for the Zeta Plus opens? I have a feeling that there’ll be a pre-order madness on that one, considering the current prices on the FAZZ.

I’d like to snag a Zeta plus, since the Zeta’s are the closest thing Gundam has to a Valk. 

I relly like the fact that the 31’s supers don’t cover up the fighter’s emblems. The design of the 25’s super, armor, and tornado packs are cool and all, but they cover up Ozma’s skull emblem. I wonder if the new 31 armor pack will also end up covering Arad’s emblem?

Looking at your pics and the price NY is selling the Kai now, I'm glad I got to order one when the price was easier to swallow. Now if only NY would ship mine out already...

Nice pics Lolicon! The color scheme of the Kai makes it more...mature looking. Like a true Ace's machine. It has all the colors of previous Macross Aces except Roy and Ozma's yellow. I wonder if the Kai would play a bigger role in the upcoming movie.
