  3. Looks great John...love the upgrades!
  4. John, I sent you JT's email a while back. He's definitly a good contact for decals. Good guy, and good work.
  5. I have 1/72 and 1/48 decal sheets if that helps.
  6. Gorgeous Mike! When can I come see it?!?!?!
  7. Hey John! Is it to late for me to throw my name in the hat? Thanks!
  8. Loved Homeworld as well Petar! Excellent work! Brings back memories!
  9. 1D looks great and Coby.... Wow! Still gorgeous!
  10. Hey dude. Been lurking around and trying to make a dent in my kit pile! . Not really doing commission work just a favor owed on a favor given. What are you working on?
  11. This is a Moscato mastered 1/24 Raptor that I have been slowly working my way through. I love the kit, but it causes me no end of frustration as I just can't seem to get a good pace going on it. This is the first of three Raptors that are long overdue for me. This one, and the next one are due to a friend who has been more then patient with me over the last <gasp> years. (thanks Mark for your patience) The third will be for me...which is silly considering all the work that went into this kit was based on me wanting a kit for myself....can't believe it took me years to get around to actually making one for me. This build will be based on the original CG and 1:1 model from the mini-series. It had less detail on the engines and in some of the areas then the one from the series. Since my friend is getting two, he will have this one, unlit based on the original model, and then the 2nd one lit, based on the more detailed CG version. (I'm hoping he will like one of each kind) My idea for the unlit one, is it's sitting, silent in a dark corner of the hanger...unused. It's shut down for the night and sitting. The main door will be open for looking in. (I'm still figuring out how to make the door open and make it so I can ship it...I ordered some magnets for that trick.
  12. Thanks Neptune! Love the Andromeda! (Typed Yamato originally....not enough sleep and to many Yamato build up reviews...uggg)
  13. Well, it's done as it's going to be (at least for now). With school wrapping up, my son's lost interest, and I could use a break from the beast, so we will put it in a display cabinet as is and call it a day. Looking back, I wish we had decided to go all out with painting, but if we had it wouldn't be 1/2 done yet! Hope people like...if nothing else we had fun and it looks cool on the shelf.
  14. I just thought I would share a little project I was working on for Wonderfest. MSLZ22 did a landing gear add on kit for his studio scale x-wing. I loved the idea and thought it would be a fun diorama medium. I decided I would build up a Dagobah X-Wing and bring it to this years Wonderfest. It's basically done now and I thought some folks might get a kick out of it. Regarding the Landing gear, so folks know, if your interested please PM MSLZ22 on these boards. I'm not sure how long they will be available, but I totally recommend them. Done 1 Done 2 Done 3 Done 4 Done 5 Done 6
  15. Great builds...very sharp and clean for such a small scale!
  16. Love the Viper!!!! I'm currently rushing to finish up a diorama for WF. It's supposed to be an X-Wing being lifted out of the swamp. "I can't believe it"..."That is why you fail" Next up...swampification. http://home.comcast.net/~jestefarean/xwing/dull3d.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~jestefarean/xwing/dull2d.jpg http://home.comcast.net/~jestefarean/xwing/dull7d.jpg This is the Captain Cardboard studio scale Xwing. MSLZ22 owns the patterns for this and several newer versions. This was an old kit of seconds I got pre-MSLZ22 that I wasn't sure what I was going to do with. Mike solved that when he released the landing gear kit featured in this build. It's a great 20 some part kit that includes all the gear, gear wells, gear doors, and closed wing blocks. It's been a blast to build and now I'm tempted to work on a Yavin base version someday with my V2. Hmmm.. Anyways...I'm not sure how long Mike will be offering the gear, so if by chance anyone is interested in a set I would recommend you PM him here on the boards or email him at salzo1@aol.com. Cheers
  17. Funny thing...it might not be far off. I bought a lot of models a few years ago, and recently realized I needed to make some room. (I was easily going to die before I built them all) Some examples: - Fine Molds Falcon - Purchased $199 - Sold $450 - 1/48 MK2 Viper - Purchased $39.99 - Sold $85 At the same time my son sold some 3 year old lego sets that also doubled in value. (General Grevious's ship amongst) Ill tell you...I didn't have any stocks or investments that doubled in 3 years...but I had toys and models that did! (I am still trying to convince my wife that this isn't me being a big kid, but actually a clever investment strategy....she isn't, however, buying it! )
