Yeah, but she doesn't like revolvers. One of the more memorable scenes in the manga is her criticizing Togusa for carrying one.
Since we can't see the eyes, I'm trying to figure out where the "too realistic" comments are coming from. Really, it reminds me a lot of the cgi'd opening to SAC (I've always said that that opening makes her look like a barbie doll). Hope they do a Batou figure.

Next trivia question:
What does a "Leech" missile do?
IIRC, it's a missile that penetrates, instead of exploding, and emits a non-lethal sonic attack. It was used in the episode where some baddie brought down Santini (and some runaway/stowaway kid) in his helicopter, so he could be used as bait to capture Airwolf.

OK. My problem is that I tried to view the QT version, but you need to be a member to see that, so I had to deal with crappy WMP.
The trailer's neat and all, but unless that's in-game footage (which I doubt), it's nothing better than what we've already seen from the PS2 with FMV.
It's supposed to just be a technical demo rendered in real-time. It's not from an upcoming game.

I hope Graham or another MW'er from Hong Kong can answer this question:
I'm from Canada but I have a HK Permanent ID Card, and my application period for getting the Smart ID Card replacement is coming up. How long should I expect to wait between showing up for the application/interview and picking up the new card? I've heard from a couple of people that they received their new cards the same day, but this page mentions a 10 day wait.
Has anyone here gone throught the replacement process, and how long did it take?

Hopefully Sky Captain will get plenty of votes. It's unfortunate that such a great movie did so poorly.
Still, some of the choices, or rather lack of choices, in some of the categories seem strange. I mean, shouldn't DOOM3 be one of the videogame choices? Absolutely no cartoon network shows up for votes in the tv series section? You can't say that this section is limited to broadcast television, Battlestar Galactica is Sci-fi channel.
The TV shows and mini-series are limited to what's been shown in 2004 on SPACE. That's why there are no shows from The Cartoon Network (I don't think we even get that here in Canada), and the Farscape mini-series isn't nominated (it was just shown here last month).

Oh snap! A DS9 movie would kick ass! Like, a crossover with TNG and DS9. That would be killer.
And would make NO money whatsoever. It wouldn't surprise me if they actually lost money on it.
If they made a strictly DS9 movie, yeah, it wouldn't do so hot.
If they made a crossover though, as promethuem5 suggested, and marketed it as a TNG movie with some stuff from DS9 (even if it wound up being a DS9 movie with some stuff from TNG), it shouldn't do any worse than the last four Trek movies.
Granted, $43 million (Nemesis) at the box office isn't all that hot...
They probably spent 43 million to advertise nd promote the movie.

Can anyone recommend an anime movie for a newbie?
No studio Ghibli Movies please. The movie has to be funny as well as good characters development. A movie that can stand on it's own without reference to a series or manga.

You would probably be limited to mostly movies made during the 80's, when it was easier to get financing for a project not based on an existing property. You can show your friend "Wings of Honneamise" (not "ha-ha" funny, but has a few humorous moments and development of the central character), and "Robot Carnival" (the Meiji period short is funny, and "Presence" has a little character development). Some of the others mentioned "Project A-ko", but IMO half of the humor comes from its parodies of Hokuto no Ken, Macross, Leiji Matsumoto's works, etc.

Well MGS2 sort of left on a cliffhanger, Ocelot/Liquid is still running loose with the orginal Ray. I've heard people say that you can spot Vamp alive in the background of the ending somewhere.
He seems to be there only as a gag. In "Document of Metal Gear Solid 2", you can pause the cut scenes and reposition the camera. If you go to where "Vamp" is in that scene, you can see it's just a Vamp texture applied to a flat surface, instead of a regular polygon model. And as I recall, Raiden didn't run him over with a steam roller
Solid and Emmerich are supposedly going to get Olga's son from the Patriots. So Kojima could just pick up right where he left off.Now we know that the Patriots were orginaly the U.S. branch of the Philosophers, perhaps a weakend Russian and/or Chinese branch could try to challenge the Patriots.
Speaking of the Philosophers and kidnapped babies, I wonder if Ocelot knows who his parents were.

Both the obi and the cover of the book say "Superdimensional Fortress Macross Theatrical Edition Do You Remember Love? Special Preview". I'm not near my kanji dictionary, so I'm not sure what it says on the right-hand side of the obi, except that it has something to do with releases. The top of the obi says "Before you go to the theater, know okitai only this, read okitai only this", but I don't know what "okitai" means in this context.
Edit: Doh! The book cover doesn't actually include "Superdimensional" in its title.
I've checked my dictionaries at home, and the top says "Before you go to the theater, this is all you need to know, all you need to read." I'm still having problems translating the kanji on the side. The bottom row says "on sale now", but the top row, "kouhyou", means "popularity" or "favorable reputation", so the complete setence sounds wierd if you translate it literally
