There's a Regult pod mining energists in Vision of Escaflowne.

The episode with the dragon graveyard. I think it's # 8.

Yes, the mine energist episode was #8, but there was no regult, although Escaflowne was done by Kawamori. It was just a work melef.

Look at it closer.

You can't see it when Van's smashing it, but when it's working in the background it's fairly obvious. They glued a pair of arms to a Regult and painted it gold.

The digging claws are attached to where the side thrusters are normally mounted on a Regult.

It's the kanji for "adult."  The first symbol is upside down on top of the second symbol with a circle drawn around the center.

adult as in porno or adult as in grown up

"Adult", as in "grown up", of course one of the recurring themes in FLCL.

Sorry that I don't have a link to the information, but my friend recently told me that he saw on IGN.com that Daniel Radcliffe (sp?) will be casted as Ikari Shinji!  My friend isn't the most reliable source for info about EVA (he's one of those who believes that Misato shot you know who  <_< ) but he said he read it on IGN.com, which I can't confirm because I'm not a registered member there and I don't want to be.  Can anyone confirm this?

The Daniel Radcliffe rumor has been circulating since ADV announced the project (IIRC it began on Ain't It Cool News). It's unlikely that they would begin casting if they haven't even found a director yet.

Don't know if this is old news, but Mari Iijima has been cast to play one of the two main characters in Konami's upcoming Cy Girls video game:

with several extras INCLUDING footage from a live action project that was in the works a few years ago in Japan.
