  1. Thanks for that pic of the Zeta Plus Guppy!.

I had forgotten that I had one unbuilt in my closet...

Well, it's built now, and on a stand just like yours. Looks great that way!.

I got it cos I loved the decals and the '1D' training look. to be honest, I've enver transformed it to the 'wave rider' mode or whatever it's called. I did the panel lines with a very fine mechanical pencil and it worked pretty good.

  2. I saw enough of her in Monster's Ball. Personally I can't stand her, I think she is a bad actress with a big ego,

Couldn't agree more. I think she is a dreadful actor. I was laughing at her all the way through Monster's Ball. Like when she got with Billy bob on the couch and went all primal: "MAAAKE MEEE FEEEEELL GGOOOOOOODDDDD!" lol.

  3. I'd prefer red or black as well - or maybe blue?

    I'd probably prefer a t-shirt over a polo, but I don't mind.

Ditto for long or short sleeves - either or is cool!

And as far as art goes, I'm a big fan of the art on the back - I think it's cooler and a bit subtler. You see all those star wars fanboys with a big picture of yoda on their fronts.. yuck. :p

1 tshirt for me! I don't forsee my wife wearing one to work. :D

  4. I was on a shoot today with a guy we often work with who worked on ep 3. I asked him about the Moff Tarkin thing, and he didn't say anything (due to his 'sworn to secrecy' contract) until I said I'd seen the photos published. He said that lucas and everyone were really pissed off, as one of the construction dept. had broken in after hours and taken photos of the prosthetic Tarkin makeup.

Now Guppy...you wouldn't kid us about this, right?

If your guy's right, then I can see why TFN is running with the "memory card" swap story. Stealthily taking pictures during working hours is far less illicit than breaking & entering to do so. :o

nope.. I'm very certain about this info! :) I also got the goss on who's nice and who's difficult. Apparrently Lucas, Rick McCallum, Samuel Jackson, Jimmy Smits and Hayden Christiansen are all really nice people, however Ewan and Natialie were the types to throw their weight around. Which is a shame because I love ewan mcgregor's films.

THey should have kicked Portman then!! SHe is difficult even being a terrible actress?!?! WTF?

Seems to be that since she's got 'star power' she's using it for all it's worth. I guess the problem is that they're stuck with her for all 3 movies as putting up with her is a lesser evil than breaking continuity by getting a new Padme.

  6. Oh - rdenham, here's a couple of 1/48's for ya! :) Notice how even with a 1/48 you can 'lean' it and it will still be stable on the display stand.

I took some cool shots of 1/60 battroids on the stands defying gravity - but my battery ran out before I could get them onto the computer.

Over at theforce.net the story goes that memory cards were swapped, etc, and that's how they cleverly got the pics, so that is a load of crap. It was just a simple break and enter.

Although he didn't come out and say, Tarkin will be voiced over in post - it won't be the actor behind the mask's voice in the movie.

  10. haha, thanks for identifying the positive angle on having no shelf space G! :)

I have 3 1/2 shelves full, as well as my computer desk. And I'm waging a secret psychological warfare with my wife to keep the 1/48's on top of the tv - so I can happily stare at them when she watches crap tv shows. :D

PS - I noticed your sig.. of COURSE you should keep the rest of MW! I still use the toy & model section for reference.. and I post the links to my friends to convince them to start buying macross toys too. Don't let some newbies get you down! ;)
