There has been no official word that megahouse cancelled fuke, but a few other message board members have said they were pretty sure she's not coming out. Because of the comments posted here, I have even put the three I have (stick, ley, and yellow) up on eBay. I decided I'd rather have all 4 beagle ride armors then an incomplete set of megahouse ones.

I've noticed on eBay that a couple stores are listing a ship date of Feb 9th for the Toynami version of the Beagle, and for the Red Beta.

Did anyone notice that the box seems to be the same size as the Alpha boxes? I remember Toynami saying that they were going with the Beta box size for this. Not that I am complaining that it is smaller. I have limited room for these considering all of the other Robotech/Mospeada stuff I have.

My wife just laughs and shakes her head that a 35 year old would go gaga over toys. What can I say, I've been hooked since I was 11. So I have been indoctrinating my 8 year old and 6 year old sons so they have a quicker start than I had! Gotta teach them while their young.

I have emailed the company that sold me the Maia and I also emailed Toynami. I want to get rid of this thing even though I already shipped back to Toynami the first one because it was broken. The replacement one I received has a problem with the head not sitting right, the shoulder gun pod won't go into the hole and I'm afraid it will fall apart every thime I transform it. I also want the planned better version arriving this summer that should have the corrected intakes.

Toynami on returns: I'm pretty sure you have to pay to ship it to them and they'll pay to ship it back to you. Thanks for the reply jenius, I was thinking I would be paying for shipping.

That makes me feel better since mine was DOA on arrival because of a glued together shoulder. I'm sad to say that this is my second Alpha MPC out of 5 that I own to have issues. But, that is to be expected. I only transform them thru all modes twice a year when I take them to work to display at my desk. I have emailed Toynami and have their phone #, but they seem to be out for the holidays. I'll have to hit them up probably Tuesday or Wednesday next week sometime so that I can actually get through and talk to someone. With the new releases of MPC items, I'm sure they will be swamped. Has anyone ever had to deal with Toynami on a MPC return? Do they make the customer spend more money on shipping to return the broken item to be replaced? Any insight for what I'm in for would be greatly apprecited.

I just got word from the company I bought it from and they said unfortunatley, I need to go through Toynami for replacement. They told me that if Toynami doesn't respond to my email, that they have a phone number I can use. I'll let you know how things progress.

Well, I ordered the Beta and the Maia Sterling Alpha and they arrived Wednesday. I can say as everyone else has said, the Beta is awesome. Yes, the hips are a little loose, but still, I like the toy. Now for the Alpha, what a piece of JUNK! I opened the box, pulled out the plane and first off the paint is not gloss and does not have a smooth feel to it. That's makes sense because it is supposed to be a stealth fighter. I looked it over and noticed right away the glue spots below the intakes, but I figured I could deal with that because you don't see it unless you turn it over. So I decided to transform it, and it was very stiff, as if over glued. I moved the arms over and tried to fold them down for battloid mode, and one of them wouldn't move. I looked at the joint to make sure that there was something missing. I rotated it and some glue that was preventing it from moving finally let go, and under that was a mess, but I decided to continue on and try to fold it down again thinking I could move on. It was still stuck, so I applied more pressure. First the fore arm broke off, and then the sholder peeled right off as if it was made out of paper. The small hinge that allows the arm to fold down was glued solid. Don't think I am just rough on my collection, I'm not. I am trying to get in contact with the seller of the item to see what can be done.

I was thinking the same thing. I figure that the best option is to periodically check their site and see if the price changes when the product is actually shipping.

I was searching the internet to see if there were any places that listed the Beagle/Toynami cyclone cheaper than the $199.99 list price. I found it listed at Toywiz.com for $149.99. http://www.toywiz.com/macrosscycle1.html I actually called them up to verify the price and they said it is correct. Does anyone know if they can sell it for $50 less than everyone else? I already got shafted with the price increase on the Maia Masterpiece, so I don't want to go and buy this from Toywiz thinking I'm only going to pay $150, then get an email staing they had to hike the price to $200.

I should have mine at the same time, but I'm really interested to see the differences between the Toynami version and the CM version. I never got onto the CM bandwagon, but I've seen them listed in the low 100's here and there. If you have the time, please include a few notes about the differences between Toynami and CM. Thanks!!

FYI... Toynami Beta is shipping from RT.com on Friday. I wonder why they are waiting another day to ship? The ebay listing shown above states they have it on hand right now and are ready to ship today.

Another delay for the Beta. Here is what Steve Yun said on RT.com: Ok, just got word from Toynami that the Beta Fighters will be arriving in the US over the weekend, and retailers should be getting them early next week. Considering it is already in Asia, I would be suprised if we didn't get them next week. But then again, who knows. We probably need to plan on them arriving with Santa on Christmas day.

An update was just posted on Robotech.com from Steve Yun about the Beta Fighter, he stated: "I asked Toynami about the exact ship date, and they said it will be shipped out to retailers in the first week of December. Sorry to everyone who was counting on it arriving in November. I've updated the store item to reflect the new shipping ETA."

So, if the Ray/Rand Beagle releases in March of next year, the Toymani version will probably release in April. I am going with the MPC version becuase I like not paying so much shipping to the US and I can see everyone's reviews before I get mine. I better start coming up with a good excuse why I need another $200 display item.
