People still use Windows Media Player?

Well, the best suggestion I can make is to not use Windows Media Player. Try something like VLC. It's light, and it'll play just about any media file you can throw at it without the need to download any extra codecs.

If you're set on WMP, though, try this.

Click on the start menu, and search for "cmd". Right-click on it, and select "Run As Administrator". On the command prompt window that will open, type the following:

net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add

Then hit enter, and restart your computer.

I bought this cheapy 15.6" Lenovo laptop for $299 for work travel. I was just setting it up out of the box when the Media Player failed. Maybe I should have bought an Asus Transformer, but then it does not run MS Powerpoint, Projects, Excel and Word on a big 15.6" screen.

Finished "Heroic Age". Can warmly recommend it to anyone who likes their space opera with a dash of mecha and romance. Oh, and awesome soundtrack.

I found it to be surprisely good as well. Age really delivered when it counts. It is like Gunbuster mixed in with Banner of the Stars.

Early October works for me. Will be traveling in September and mid October. Too bad about the original date.

To explain the weathering, Macross aircraft travel in and out of the

atmosphere on a routine basis, like the retired space shuttles. And

spacecraft returning to earth always looked fairly weathered due to

the high re-entry temperatures and speeds. That is why the shuttle

and the X-37 spy craft looked more used than a typical Beoing 747 for

the same flight hours.

If anyone wants to put some of their own creations, please do so.

This is actually pretty cool artwork concept. Wish Yamata and Bandai

would make their box art like this for their Macross line.

Finished BBC 2040 and I thought it was a really good anime. Good story line and pretty decent character build up and no awkward fan service. For sure recommend.

The last few episodes of BGC 2040 got a little too weird for me with Galatea. The original seems to have a better story which was cut short and better mechancial/motoslave designs. But that's just my impression.

But there's a lot of love for the NUNS CF version of the VF-171. And yes, those versions are no more than target practice for the vajra.

Finally saw the Lexus LF-A in a local market parking lot. Even though it was bright red, it looked somewhat bland and underwhelming. There is a lack of lines that gives it character to make it stand out. But the engine underneath is monster. So this is a wolf in a sheep's clothing.

I am waiting for the VF-0 Phoenix Master File, but we got glimpses of some VF-0 images in the VF-1 Master File. It is scheduled to be released this month.
